"Engaging in a little suffering — however self-imposed, arbitrary and contrived — before breakfast each morning tends to demand some humility and injects some marked relief into the rest of the day, making things sharper, more inspired, more immediately aware of the powerful presence of being. And that seems really worthwhile." A. Krupicka

"I cruised down hills, churned up hills, and floated over the asphalt, existing in a world that seemed to lack the confinements of such ubiquitous rivets as time, obligation, or pain. I knew then that this was destined to be one of those serendipitous runs for which so many of
us strive yet so rarely achieve." J. Nevels

5 miles - lobstacrestview - poor sleep maybe from being sick. slept in a little and ran in the heat.

periodic bum knee report: so the left knee that i injured last october still presents a little pain at the beginning of most runs but goes away after warmed up except on longer runs where it will start to hurt a bit but not a sharp pain. mostly the knee is talking to me when i'm not running, sometimes it's loudest when i'm not moving at all. which suggests to me that the more i move the better off i'll be.

I get the same stuff going on in my left knee once in a while. It helps to get a fairly decent warm up and stretching routine completed before hitting the road especially warming up he knees. I also carry some "ABSORBINE LINIMENT" with me so if the knee starts to ache a bit I just roll on a little of this topical analgesic liquid and I get muscle and joint relief....check it out!

hmmm...i will check out the absorbine liniment.

between all the stairs in my house, and playing with the dogs, and weed pulling in the yard, i feel like my knee are always warmed up, limber, and ready to go! lol

Best place to check out the Absorbine is at the IFA Coop...get the veterinary liniment
