I have ran three marathons. SGM in 2005, Ogden in 2006, and SGM 2006. My best time in a marathon is Ut. Valley Marathon 3:59:46. I have ran seven half marathons, some 10k's and 5k"s. My favorite marathon is SGM.I have ran 13 Marathons, will be during my first Ultra in march of 2013, it will be the Antalope Island Buffalo Run, a 50k.
2008 SGM PR 4:02:23 The best is yet to come. Short-Term Running Goals: Short term running goal is to increase my four days a week of running to five to six days a week. Do more speed work this coming year. Bring my times down. I would like to do SGM in 4 hrs or less. Long-Term Running Goals: Keep up with my Brother Clay in a marathon, someday do a sub four hour marathon, and BQ. Personal: I have been married for 34Years, and am still madly in love with my wife Wendy. I have four children and six Grand children.

| Hard workout today. I started with a warm up out to gu corner then back to the hill that comes up out of the river bottoms by my house. I did ten 200m hill repeats today, the first six or seven I pushed hard. The last few were butt kickers. I am very whack right now. I finished with some time on the bowflex with an upper body workout. |

| Whack legs today after yesterdays hill repeats. It was slow go, I ran up to the golf course then down the river trail to home. Even with whack legs it was still a great run. I will take off tomorrow and shoot for a 22 miler on sat morn. |

| Nice long run today, I ran out over harrys hill. then up to the round about over to loafer canyon rd. Came down to the canal rd back to gu corner, refueled and did two golf course loops. Im whacked,been a great week of training. |

| Nice extended golf course loop today, the first few miles I was not to sure the legs just did not want to go. Then they seem to get into a good rythum and did really well the rest of the run. Surprising after sat 22 miler, maybe the hill repeats are doing soom good? Cross my fingers. |

| I ran out to harrys hill and back today, nice run with warm temps. It did feel good for a change, still have those pesky wind around though. It was still a great run I love this time of year. |

| Nice long run today, did the over harrys hill into salem sat route with a glf course loop. The legs were feeling good today and they just wanted to keep going. next week will be my last real long run and then begin to taper for Utah Valley Marathon. I'm starting to get excited it should be a blast. It's been another great week of training. |

| Hottest run of the year so far, it was 90 degrees after I got home from work. Threw on the running clothes, laced up the shoes and headed out to Harry's Hill and back. The legs did not want to go the first few miles, then they got into a good rythum and finished the run strong. It ended up being a great run. |

| Great moring for along run, cool to start out but warmed up quicly once the sun came over the mountain. I think my legs have hit the wall today, just whack drom the start. Yesterdays rest day did not do a lot of good. But we got it done, seen the usual group ou this morn they were all running great. I will start to taper now for Utah Valey Marathon, hope my legs come back quick. This has been a great wek of training. |
