It was cool today so I got in a really good warmup before the race. This is random, but Josh Ward gave me a high five while doing run outs. I went out and was in the lead for the first 800. Then Skylar and Kaden came up and I sat right behind them. About 5:11 through the first mile which was a little fast but about what I wanted. I hung right there. Skylar gapped me a little in that second mile, and I was able to get ahead of Kaden. I went through two miles in 10:39 which was about exactly what I wanted as I was trying to simulate region, which was hard since almost everyone was taking things fairly easy today. I backed off over the last mile because I wanted to save my legs and because Rob was freaking out.. Got in a much longer and better cooldown than the rest of the team.
