Ran a 1.25 warm up outside. Did .75 moderately hard with 2:30 jog in between. Fast bits were around 6:20-6:40 pace. Slow bits around 8-8:30 pace. Average pace for whole run minus warm up was 7:07

Did 8 miles outside. My normal loop + college loop. Average pace was 7:09. Felt good today! Planning on running a half marathon here in Farmington on oct 12 so I better start really training now. Life has definitely got in the way of training with the move and new baby, but hopefully I can have a decent training cycle for the next 5 weeks.

I guess I wasn't meant to run today.. My plan was to do a 5 mile progressive tempo run on the tm. Did 1.25 warmup then proceeded into my tempo run. I start the tempo and my baby starts crying so I keep jumping off the treadmill to give her a bink. At 1.5 miles into it she starts screaming so I turn off the tm and try to get her to sleep. Finally she falls asleep and I decided to change my workout to 3x1.5 mile intervals. About .6 into my interval I look out the window and spot the dog we are sitting running outside into the street. I jump off the tm and go get the dog and then baby starts crying again. (Definitely terrible day for getting a workout in) I ended with 1.5 @ 6:55 pace and .6 @6:45 pace.

Another bad day for trying to get a workout in. Plan was to alternate 200m hills and 400m sprints on the treadmill, I did 1.75 warm up and then set my incline to 7.0 and the speed to 7 minute pace. I get done with the hill and set the incline to 1.0. It won't budge and stays at a 7 even though it shows it is a 1. Yikes... I keep messing with it but it won't budge. In trying to figure out a workout I did .5 still at a 7 incline at 7:30 pace. Then I did .25 @ 8:30 pace. Then alternated 5x.25 at 7:00 pace and 8:30 pace. This was a hard workout. And I am bummed I couldn't get the incline down. Of course during my cool down the incline finally goes down... Not sure what is going on, maybe I need a new treadmill..

Got up early and did a fartlek outside. (Normal loop) 1 mile warm up then alternated 4 minutes hard by 2 minutes easy. pace was all over the board due to hills. I will list my hard paces followed by the easy pace.

1. 6:50, 8:00  2. 6:40, 7:40  3. 6:16, 7:16 4. 6:40, 7:45  5. 7:04, 10:00  6. 6:45 8:28

(minus the warmup-it was a 7:10 pace overall including fast and slow paces)

Felt controlled and good today. It has taken me longer to get back in shape than I would have liked-but lately I feel like my old body is slowly starting to come back.

Ran 6 outside today. Wanted to do a hill workout on the half marathon course I am doing in a couple weeks. Got lost on the course. (It is in the desert) so I ran the hill by Dustin park instead. Did 8x200m hill. Splits were about 6:45 pace. (Pretty steep hill)

Did a 6 mile tempo run today on my usual course. Did the first 5 miles in 6:52 pace, then my watch froze on me for some reason. I am guessing my last mile was about 7:25ish (uphill) so that would make the overall pace 6:57. Felt good today. (Did have one short potty stop at the gas station)

Ran on the half marathon course today... I forgot how hard it is.. (5.5 miles of extreme hills and soft sand/rocks) one of my mile splits was 10.. Anyway overall I managed a 7:39 pace..felt relaxed and very comfortable today. Got in the groove and felt better than I have in a long time.

Ran on my normal 6.5 route today. Did 7x4 minute pickups with 2 minute jog in between. Fast paces were usually around 6:25, but they ranged between 6:15-6:50 pace. My recovery jog paces were about 8 minute pace, sometimes less. Overall average pace including recovery was 6:55 for 6.25 miles.

Ran outside today. Did 8x1 minute on offs, followed by 4xhills. Paces for my fast minutes were anywhere between 5:15-5:50 pace but mostly around 5:30 pace. I kept my slow minutes about 7:30-8 pace. My ap for slow and fast miles for 2.25 miles was 6:30. After this I did 4x200m hills. Felt great today. Loved doing the on off minutes bc it is fun to go fast. (Need to do this one more)

Ran in ruidoso, nm today. Ruidoso sits about 7200 ft in elevation and i felt it. Anyway, I got up early before Perry's meetings and did 6 outside. It was so cold! Ran on the golf course that had major rolling hills. Average pace was 7:48. Right after this i got the baby and left her in her car seat as I ran on the treadmill. I did 7. My first mile was slow, then I gradually got faster finishing with a 6:30 mile. (My ap was 7:20) luckily baby was good the whole time. Felt good today.

Ran on my normal 6.5 mile loop today. Did 21 fast /slow minutes. Paces for the fast varied between 5:30-7. Paces for slow minutes were 7:15-8. Average pace for the whole run not including warm up was 6:48. Felt good today-although I was getting tired by the end
