Managed only 3.5 today on the treadmill.. Ran super slow and even powerwalked .75 of it. I am definitely getting WAY more uncomfortable running and it is really frustrating. During my last pregnancy I don't remember getting this uncomfortable until the very end. (I ran the whole time besides walking the last monthish.) My mileage has dropped significantly the past 2-3 weeks and it isn't helping me to feel any better. (I have felt great running until hitting about 20 weeks and since then it keeps getting significantly harder) I might have to incorporate alot more powerwalking into my routine or find a totally different way of working out. (too bad I don't have an eliptical) Anyway, I am going to order a gabrialla support belt so maybe that will help. I don't want to lose all my fitness so I'll see what I can do! I didn't expect this to happen so early on but I think I need to listen to my body.

I always want an elliptical when I'm pregnant. That would really make working out so much easier! I think I would throw running in the garbage in that case. Oh, I can just feel the ligaments stretching in the belly! When are you due? I've been very impressed with how much you have kept up so far. Even 3 miles is impressive.

Went to my dr appt last week and unfortunately I won't be able to run the rest of my pregnancy:( due to pelvic prolapse (sorry if that's tmi) (so in total it will probably be at least 5 months of no running) Anyway, I am quite sad about it but I know it is the best thing right now. I'm not really sure what to do right now as far as working out bc even speed walking is a no no for a little while.. Depressing:( but I'm trying to stay positive.. I bought a workout dvd with different excersizes that may help, so Im keeping my fingers crossed. Anyway, I may post if I can find other ways of working out... Until then it may be goodbye for a while... I look forward to reading everyone else's blogs though and happy running:)

I'm so sorry!! I invested in a spin bike for the last part of my pregnancy and it was a life saver. I couldn't do any exercises that had me upright. It's hard to remember sometimes in the thick of it and I know you know this, but it is so worth it in the end to bring a healthy little person into the world and into your family!! I think you are amazing, keep your chin up!!!!

Thanks for the comments everyone. Yes, it would be nice to do at least something for exercise. (Maybe I'll have to look into an elliptical or bike-although we have no room for it)

Our baby girl was born a week ago from today! Payton Connie Webb. 5lb 7 oz 18 inches. She is really sweet and we are adjusting well.. Can't wait until I can run again!! Seeing all the runners out in the beautiful weather is making me jealous and antsy to start, but I know I still need to wait:( happy running to all!!

I'm back!! So since having the baby I have probably ran/jogged 5-6 times. I wanted to take it easy until my 6 week appt which was yesterday to really start running. (I've had some issues so I wanted to get the ok from my dr. before really running) I'm so excited to be back running and I slowly want to get back into top shape as it has been almost 6 months since I have ran. I have missed it terribly. Anyway, today I ran on the treadmill-I wanted to ease into it and my mile splits were 10:30,8, 7:35 and 6:50 for the last one. (I wanted to work the last one) It was kind of hard-but not terrible. So excited to be back running!!!

Ran outside on the 200 meter loop at the park. I did 4 miles consistently getting faster. Splits were 7:49, 7:33, 7:23, 7:13. Felt pretty comfortable the whole time-last mile felt a little hard. Definitely lacking endurance and obviously speed-but I know it will come back. (I just need to be patient and ease back into training)

Ran at the park today. Was planning on running on the tm but the safety strap was missing to turn it on.. (of course the kids took it and I found it later thankfully) In the meantime I rsn at the park in 85 degree weather.. Soo hot, my splits were 7:45,7:10,7:10 and 6:45.. Andrea-baby still wakes up at least twice a night to eat, and cries too. Hopefully she will sleep better in a couple months:) I'm glad to see you are starting to run again. Hopefully your surgery did the trick and you will be back running sub 120 halfs in no time. (just take it ez getting back) wish u the best of luck with everything.

Ran the hobbled 5k today. Splits were 6:40, 6:20, 7:30. This race was actually 3.4 instead of 3.1and it finished uphill. I finished 2nd overall. First place lady was about 2 minutes faster, and she went out like a bandit from the start. This race had some hills and the whole last mile was up. I tried to stay relaxed but this race felt hard. I am just not in very good shape yet. (not running for 6 months has been hard-but I am sure it will come back)

I was thinking the other day about all of the stress you have likely been going through with Perry's injury and surgeries to moving and taking care of three little ones. EVERYTHING has probably been on your shoulders to keep things together. Must be exhausting. It would make sense to let running fall on the back burner for a period. Looks like you have kept at it despite all of the obstacles. Good work Christi, I always knew you were a super human:)

I guess I wasn't meant to run today.. My plan was to do a 5 mile progressive tempo run on the tm. Did 1.25 warmup then proceeded into my tempo run. I start the tempo and my baby starts crying so I keep jumping off the treadmill to give her a bink. At 1.5 miles into it she starts screaming so I turn off the tm and try to get her to sleep. Finally she falls asleep and I decided to change my workout to 3x1.5 mile intervals. About .6 into my interval I look out the window and spot the dog we are sitting running outside into the street. I jump off the tm and go get the dog and then baby starts crying again. (Definitely terrible day for getting a workout in) I ended with 1.5 @ 6:55 pace and .6 @6:45 pace.

Another bad day for trying to get a workout in. Plan was to alternate 200m hills and 400m sprints on the treadmill, I did 1.75 warm up and then set my incline to 7.0 and the speed to 7 minute pace. I get done with the hill and set the incline to 1.0. It won't budge and stays at a 7 even though it shows it is a 1. Yikes... I keep messing with it but it won't budge. In trying to figure out a workout I did .5 still at a 7 incline at 7:30 pace. Then I did .25 @ 8:30 pace. Then alternated 5x.25 at 7:00 pace and 8:30 pace. This was a hard workout. And I am bummed I couldn't get the incline down. Of course during my cool down the incline finally goes down... Not sure what is going on, maybe I need a new treadmill..

Ran in ruidoso, nm today. Ruidoso sits about 7200 ft in elevation and i felt it. Anyway, I got up early before Perry's meetings and did 6 outside. It was so cold! Ran on the golf course that had major rolling hills. Average pace was 7:48. Right after this i got the baby and left her in her car seat as I ran on the treadmill. I did 7. My first mile was slow, then I gradually got faster finishing with a 6:30 mile. (My ap was 7:20) luckily baby was good the whole time. Felt good today.

Ran the race to educate half today. 1st girl, 3rd overall. Details to come..

Let me preface this race by saying it is a large loop and it has 1300 ft of elevation change and 5.5 miles are in the dirt with some spots being rocky. My training cycle for this has only been about 3-4 weeks So of course I wasn't going for a great time-but I did want to beat my time last year. Anyway, Got up Saturday morning to a brisk 35 degrees, sun shining. I decided to still run in my short sleeve shirt and shorts. Anyway, got to the course with only 5-10 minutes to spare so no time for a warm up. (That's ok I has 13 miles to warm up) we all lined up for the race and there was only around 45 runners. (Very small-most people ran the 10k and 5k) anyway, gun went off and two guys shot right to the front and took off really fast and I never saw them again. Me and a guy in my ward ran the first 4 miles together until he started falling behind on the hills. The first two miles are uphill on the pavement and then 5.5 are in the dirt, with some really good uphills/rolling hills. The last 5.5 miles are mostly downhill, with an occasional small up. After I pulled ahead of the guy in my ward I ran alone the rest of the race. I couldn't even see the two guys ahead of me so I really was alone. I felt pretty strong on the hills, in the dirt. Some of this part was muddy bc it rained really hard two days before. I had 1-2 almost falls, but it wasn't too bad, the dirt was just looser than normal. I was relieved when that part of he course was done and I was on the pavement for the last 5ish miles. I knew I could make good use of the downhill. I ran relaxed-but still pushed the pace. I feel like its hard to push when no one is around so I kept spotting objects ahead and would surge to the objects. The last two miles had people on the course running the 10k so I worked to pass them. My watch went to some random screen the last 2 miles so I don't know my splits for the last 2 miles, but I was able to stop it at the end to get my overall time. Anyway, felt really good today and i decided I miss racing and competing. I want to do another 1/2 marathon... Too bad utah is so far.. There are so many there. If I don't do another half this fall I will train for a 10k in LA when we r there in December. (It is a huge race with 10000 runners) There are also some local 5ks coming up that il will do. Hmmm I want to do a spring/early summer marathon so I will have to look into that too. I have been taking it pretty easy since having the baby-but by spring time I plan on getting back into some serious training. The fire has been lit again and I can't wait to get back Into some serious training!

Anyway, I finished 3rd overall, and showed the course as being 12.92, not 13.1. I will go by my garmin.

Splits were 7:12, 7:08, 7:07, 7:43, 9:16, 7:14, 7:34, 6:40, 6:14, 6:30, 6:53, 6:25, 6:15. Average pace was 7:06.. (Ran a 7:16 pace last year, so I was happy to run 706 pace)

Ran outside this morning. It's getting cold! Did 15x1 minute on off on college loop. Fast bits were between 5:45-6:30 pace. (1 of them being at 7 pace due to big hill) most I averaged about 6. Slow bits were between 7:10-8 pace. Overall avg for workout including fast and slow bits was 6:46 pace.

Ran the farmington turkey trot today. Got there with no time to warm up so I just parked and ran up to the start line. There was about 250 runners. The race started and this little girl bolted out, of course I thought she would die after a bit but then I started noticing her stride and form and realized she was legit. (I can always notice if a runner is legit by their form) anyway, she went out too fast for me so I decided to run my own race and hope she slowed down. First mile was 6:07 and she already had me by 35 seconds or so. 2nd mile has some good uphill. This split was 6:43. Not as fast as I would have liked. At the 2 mile mark I realized I was gaining on her. I worked to try and get her but ran out of time/distance. My 3rd mile was 6:20. She beat me by about 15 seconds. Talked to the cute tiny girl after. (I was at least a head taller) and she was 15! From Albuquerque. She placed 2nd in state about 2 weeks ago. Anyway, she ran tough. She will be really good!!!! Kind of bummed I didn't run a little better/stronger today. Oh well. I did get a free pair of shoes so that is a bonus.

Ran our city's christmas 5k. Thought it would be warmer so I showed up in shorts and a long sleeve. I should've worn pants bc it was really cold and windy. They changed the course but it was still a loop. Still quite hilly. Splits were 6:20, 6:41, 6:30 and about 25 seconds for the last .8. I showed the course as being slightly short at 3.08. Everyone else showed it at 3.1 or 3.12. (I always go by my garmin) It was hard for me to get in any kind of a rhythm and I was cold the whole time. The wind didn't help. I know I haven't done very much training lately, but I really thought I would have run faster today. Oh we'll. it was nice getting new shoes and 75 gift card, just wish I felt better running 5ks. my plan is to take it easy for a while and then pick things up in Oder to do a late spring/summer marathon. (Marathons are what I really love)

I don't much like hilly, cold 5ks either and the wind just makes it that much worse so great job. And looking forward to seeing what you do this next year.
