8 miles at battelle darby, I made it to the old race track (for horses), which is like 1.08 miles around. I had to turn back once I got there, but this looks to be a great route for marathon training. 8 miles to the the track and back + however many horsetrack loops. And there's more unexplored trails in that area. Will be interesting to figure out a training schedule when the baby comes.

Wasn't planning on running today but ended up needing to go pick up the altima from one auto shop and take it to another that gave us a cheaper quote.

Felt smooth and easy. It's nice to reflect on how much better a run like this feels now than it did just a couple months ago.

Ran to pick up the car from the shop and then finished the run when I got home. 7:30 pace felt easy but my lungs still felt a little beat up.

Going to a doctor to finally get my refill on asthma meds next thursday. So that will give me one week back on singulair before thanksgiving 5k. Hopefully that will help to combat the shock of increased elevation, hills, and cold weather.

I've also decided to do a 5k next thursday a 5k the week after the thanksgiving 5k. So I can get a baseline without any asthma meds, and then see how much the medication effects my running performance.

Mile warm up and then 6x800m at goal 5k pace with a quarter mile recovery jog in between each, and half a mile between the 3rd and 4th. Was trying to run between 2:50 and 2:55. The first 4 were all between 2:45 and 2:50. The 5th was just over 2:50 and the last one was just over 2:55. A combination of me running out of gas and the last one being all uphill. Pretty good workout all things considered.

9 miles around my neighborhood and track. Cold weather has finally hit the area unfortunately, but high 30s/low 40s felt surprisingly comfortable today. This was my first week over 30 miles in well over a year. Will slowly build up to about 50/60 mile weeks by next summer before my first marathon.
