Quarter of a marathon. I started doing a tempo run but started to think maybe I've been switching over to lots of harder training runs too fast. I was avoiding doing tons of speed work for months and the past couple weeks I've been wanting to do them like every run. I'm going to stick to just 1 planned speed/tempo workout per week and focus on building my base. Then I can add a 2nd in another month or two. I think I actually get more out of training when I do a lot of long runs and naturally speed up if I'm feeling good. Will go to my favorite park to run tomorrow or saturday. |
