Not a bad day of running. I wanted to relax today so my pace was 07:21.33. But I am still sore from yesterday run. I need something to help me over this soreness.

Barry, I'd say ask Jim. He knows best. After all he jsut did that 24 hr race on New Years. I'm reading Running Through the Wall: Encounters with the Ultra-Marathon right now actually, and I'm thinking about training for the VT 100. I'm also thinking about doing Nipmuck marathon 26.4 trail 'thon in Ashford CT on June 1st this year. You've really got fast just in the last couple of months!

I think you're in the 40:00 or 41:00 range for 10k at least and definitely in shot of a 1:33 half.

Thanks for the help. Is Jim on the blog? Also, good luck your VT 100 and the Nipmuch marathon if you decided to run them. Where is the VT race at? Let me tell you that running six days a week has helped me the most with my running.

Are you talking about doing the run by yourself or with a team?

Nice runs Barry.

From barry on Fri, Feb 01, 2008 at 08:39:33

I would like to run it with a team, but I did not know for sure if you were interested. Also, I would not be able to run it very fast and I did not want to slow you down if you decided to run it with me. Are you interested? If you go to the website there is a video you can watch of a past race.

Kory,

I can not go on that 110 mile race. I can not afford the race it will cost 1,350.00 each.

From wheakory on Fri, Feb 01, 2008 at 18:59:25

I wouldn't run the race especially by myself. I'm in no training mind to do a ultra especially this short in advance. I wouldn't think you would need a years worth of training before doing this distances.

I might be able to crawl to the finish line, but that wouldn't be the experience I would want. I have no desire right now to do an ultramarathon.
