I am trying to get myself instead of reaching a mileage point that I can reach a time point. I used the elliptical for one hour today and when I was done I could not feel my legs. So I know that it is working. I also kept my heart rate from 140 – 150 bpm. My ultimate goal is to use the elliptical hour and half every day. So I will see how that goes. Thanks for reading and have a great day.

A lot of people train by time instead of miles, that's not a bad thing at all. Now, not feeling your legs? Hmmm... are you maybe training a bit too hard? Nice going!

Explain what you mean by not feeling your legs? Do you mean your legs were fatigue from the workout? Because if you can't feel your legs than something is wrong.

I run by time myself after running a marathon and I don't care what the pace is . I just want to get a good work-out for that time. Time is more important than mileage, because it shows how long you've been on your feet running.

Thanks for your help. I think i was just over training myself. I never really used the elliptical that much, so my legs are not use to using it for one hour and they were just a little soar.

Kory, i think i am not use to using the elliptical that much and my legs were just a little tired and soar. I think i will do better in the long run with just using time instead of mileage for the elliptical and maybe running also. I am just trying to keep my body in shape for when i start running again.
