Could not sleep at all last night. So finally at 6 am I ran to Sugarhouse until I was at 2 miles then I turned and went home, showered, and climbed back in bed. This time I slept. Then woke up and started loading up my car. I'M MOVING TODAY! Orem here I come :)

Today was our first day of practice! Yay!! We met up in the weight room and drove to the Provo River Trail, where we just ran out and back. I ran 3 out with Aysha and Lexie and back with them at a 7:30 pace. It was a little exhausting. I love the team so much!! #WoleverineWay

Later the girls all met up for a run at 2:00. We met by our locker room then ran a 2 mile loop around campus. Then we did some core work and got to know each other better :) Apparently the team is already closer this year than they were last year :) I love UVU!! #WolverineWay

Today we did the Verticle Mile. It was awful. The first mile is basically straight uphill, but after that it's fine. Lexie and I ran together while Coach Evans biked alongside. He gave us a lot of really helpful advice, "If you want to run like a deer, you've got to breathe like a rhino." Our first uphill mile was 12 minutes, then we kept an 8:10 pace, then on the downhill we were at 6:20. I really had to poop the last 2 miles :/ #WolverineWay

After our team naptime and brownie making party, us girls had to go to weight lifting. We did a 1 minute plank, then right, then left. Next we did Inverse pull ups, weighted calf raises, and weighted leg lift thingys, then walked out to the pullup bar. But the bar was wet and crooked and there were bees everywhere, so we didn't do that. Oopsie? Oh well, I'm going to be so sore tomorrow! Afterwards I went with a few of the girls on a 2 mile shakeout around campus. #WolverineWay

This morning when I woke up I was in the mood to go explore Orem. I ran on Sandhill Road to University Parkway and started going west, but there were no sidewalks or crosswalks and I didn't feel safe, so I turned around and went through the tunnel to UVU and ran along the road by the track. I stayed on that road until I got to Center Street, then ran from 6th west over to State Street. I turned on State Street and ran all the way to University Parkway (1300 south) and ran down to 400 west, where I turned on the road by Ventona and ran back down to Pinnacle. I ran around the pool area and clubhouse to get 8 for the morning. I'm probably going to go on another adventure run later tonight with Lexie. #WolverineWay
