I feel alot better than I was last week. After the usual drills and such we went on a run. I could either do the shorter run or the longer run depending on how I felt. We ran up 9th south to Foothill and I didn't feel too good. I fell off from the front group and when I got to the light by Corner Bakery, Megan and Daisa caught up to me, so I ran with them at a pretty decent pace. We ran up to the yellow gate at Red Butte and I wasn't up for going the longer way on JCC to Shriners, so I went down Legacy bridge with Megan, Daisa, and Dakota and across Guardsman back to the school. Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow. |

| | Today was a speed workout at the oval. After the track drills and such we all squished into the cars and drove out. We did 2 miles warmup and a mile of speed changes plus a recovery lap. Then we did 6 800s with a lap recovery between each one. I was supposed to be hitting 2:55 with Bill, Sarah, and Garek, which probably isn't going to help me get better from being sick. Bill paced our first one at 2:55 and I paced our second one at 2:54. It all went downhill from there and I crashed pretty badly, my next 4 800s were 3:12, 3:27, 3:28, and 3:30. We did 4 laps coooldown for 10. I had to go to bed really early because I really need to rest. |

| | Speed yesterday was a little overwhelming so today I ran with Sarah and Megan. We went to the cemetery, ran 1 lap, did 4 hills, ran another lap, did 4 more hills, finished that lap, and ran back.

| | We ran to Liberty and did firemen. After my 1st lap I was feeling a little lactarded and had to stop. I'm thankful for the bathroom in little chocolate shop on the corner of 7th east and 9th south. I ran back to the school with Emma because she's the best little sister ever.

Davis Distance Challenge (1 Miles) 00:05:33, Place in age division: 1 | | When we all got to the oval we ran 2 laps warmup and then Tomy and I led stretches. Then we all did our drills and strides. Next all the mile girls ran 4 laps warmup and some speed changes. At the starting line we did several strides and then we started, but the clock didn't work so they had us come back and wait longer. Once we actually started I knew I shouldn't go out too hard because I didn't want to crash. Each lap I picked up my speed a little bit. I fell off the pack and was behind for a bit, but I picked them and passed them and caught quite a few of them by the end. My splits were 84, 2:50, 4:10, and 5:33. I'm too lazy to do the math but I'm pretty sure thats what I heard. I didn't have time to cooldown because I thought I had to be at work at 6:30. Turns out the Jazz game was a late start and I didn't need to be there until 8. Whoopsie.

| | Today I had to be at work early so I ran during my free period. I went to the track to shovel lane 1 and do my speed workout, but after 20 minutes I had only shoveled about 40 meters. It was a foot of snow on top of a foot of ice, so I went home and changed out of my soaked trainers into my old pink ones and ran 8 on the dreadmill while watching Chuck. I'm really disappointed in myself, but I tried to shovel the track, so you could say that I'm pretty determined. |

| | Today we ran along 13th East to the Cemetery on 5th south. We ran 1 lap, then did 4 hills, another lap, 4 more hills, and finished off the lap. Then I ran with the boys up through the U on our Shriners run. We all turned at the roundabout and went back to the school along Guardsman and down 9th south. I felt pretty good today. I feel ready for Simplot! |

| | Today was simple. We ran down to Liberty park and ran 1 lap or Firemen, then on our second lap we reversed it where the person in front would go to the side and when the group passed them they would get back in line and yell "Go!" It was interesting. We ran up to the school and I added a quarter mile to get to 7. |

Simplot Games 2013 (1 Miles) 00:05:38 | | So today my Mom, Aunt, Michaela, Lisle, Katie and I piled into the car and drove to Simplot. When I got there I sat with my team until it was time to warmup. I always do better when I warmup by myself, so I just ran alone around the track a few times. I didn't really think much of my race. I started out not too fast, and about halfway through I decided that I just didn't care so I backed off a bit. I guess I shouldn't have done that because I didn't qualify for finals, but I really don't care at this point. I didn't cool down, just went straight to the hotel and off to bed. I spent the rest of the trip hanging out with Davis because they're nice. |

So I didn't hear about any practice plans, so I just ran 5 on my treadmill while watching Chuck. I didn't really feel like going fast, I just felt like running. Why do I not care anymore? I don't really know. Senioritis really has me. |

| | I had work tonight so I couldn't go to the Oval. After all the drills and such I went home and had time to run 2 miles on the treadmill and even then I was 5 minutes late. |

| | Today we ran up 9th south to Foothill, down to 5th South and Guardsman, and Shriners run. I started the uphill fast, trying to keep up with Tomy and Chris. But my core has been hurting really badly the past few days and all the gross air was hurting, so I backed off to an 8:20 pace and ran with Ryan. We turned on 11th Ave at 3.75 so that we would be at 7 at the school. We hit it on the hill coming down 9th south by the baseball field, so I just ran all the way to the Commons doors and counted it all as a quarter, even though it was probably a little more. Oh well. I was feeling really sore (I don't even know how I'm so sore!) |

| | Today I was feeling really out of it. After all of our warmup and drills stuff we went for a run. I started early so that I would finish around the same time as the boys. I ran along 13th east to 21st south, and down to 9th east. The boys didn't catch me until I got to 13th south, which surprised me! So either I was going at a decent pace or they were really relaxed. I couldn't keep up with them though. I followed up to 11th east and over to 9th south, and saw them adding on another lap so I did another and after going inside realized that they were probably adding more. But I was done. Ugh. |

| | Felt like crap during my free period so instead of waiting around for practice I got a really slow 5 miler out of the way on my treadmill while watching Chuck. Let's not talk about how long it took. |

| | I had so much junkfood yesterday because it was my birthday, but that's okay because I'm 18 now. I can buy dry ice. And hamsters. Anyways. We had our first outdoor meeting today and got all of our paperwork, and I'm an adult so I don't need a parent signature. Okay sorry I'll stop it with the adult jokes now. We ran along 13th east to the Cemetery and during our 1st lap I died and had to run by myself. I ran 3 miserable laps in the cemetery then headed back to the school along 13th because I had to be at work. My body hates me for beating it up so bad. |

| | Today we ran down to Liberty and took the long way to the drinking fountain. Then we were to run 3 laps. I could not keep up! It was horrible! My whole body is completely worn out. It sucks. After 2 laps I had to stretch my hip because it was really hurting. Then I went the long way around the park to head up 9th south and back to the school. I don't know what the heck is going on with me but it's driving me insane. |

| | Today we ran up 9th south to Foothill, over to Sunnyside, and up to Wasatch. I was struggling up to Foothill, but caught up to Dakota, John, and Emmaline at the light and had a minute to rest. I pushed hard up to Wasatch and once the run leveled out I was able to keep up with them. We ran to 13th south then down to 19th east over to 9th south and down. We sprinted the last block to try and catch Garek. I didn't feel very sick on this run, which is a really good sign. |
