| Did a circuit training workout at practice. We ran a mile at the beginning with dad showing us the course. Then we did 3 times around. Each leg consisted of 10 stadium steps,15 push ups, 25 sit ups, lunges, and squat jumps for a mile loop. Then did an easy half mile cool down.

| Ran 6 miles on the k mart and lower loops. Then we went to the commons area to make our poster for the first annual "Alta XC melon day " where we hand out melons to students before school like Ronald Roybal did in Running With the Buffalos. 🍉👌

| 8 Miles up at Alta ski area. We spent the night at the Alta lodge. Saw two moose in the parking lot. Ran up to the campground and up the Cecret lake trailhead for a little way.

| 7 miles on the Porter Rockwell trail after school. I ran 1:02:41 which is 8:57/mile. Dad told me he wanted me to average 9 minutes. Got chocolate milk on the way home with dad.

| Got to the race around 3 and did not race till 4:20. The race was ran different than most cross country meets varsity boys went first then varsity girls and then the JV races. According to dad and some of the other girls on my team almost the whole course was changed. It was a hard course I wanted to run under 21 minutes but once we started on the course we realized how slow the course was.

| Went to Jeremy ranch around 7 am with my team. I ran 10.5 miles but some people went shorter or farther. I felt really good on the way out and most of the way back untill the last mile.

| I, Abby, engaged in an E-P-I-C battle with the other #6 girls at Cottonwood Complex. I established clear domination over the 7th runner. I also remained upright the entire race, never falling down. I actively cheered for my teammates throughout the course of the morning when not occupied with racing myself.
Very rewarding.
Interesting that the Pope is coming for a visit.

| We got out of school at 1:45 and got to the meet around 2. We watched and cheered for the JV races 2 people from alta won medals. The course was fairly flat with a few little hills but it was 3.21 miles instead of 3.1. Alta Varsity girls and boys both got second place overall! girls were one point away from first.
