| | With my last bit of time before school was back in session, I read Let’s Go (So We Can Get Back) by Jeff Tweedy. He’s the main singer and songwriter of Wilco, a band I’ve enjoyed over the years. He’s an engaging writer and shows some vulnerability in the book. It was a good read. I also got good news about my aging body.

| | The final bit of news I’ve anticipated came today. I’m pumped to get back to exercising, but it might take a few weeks to really get rolling.
I finished The Tragedy of King Lear and gathered quotable quotes as I did.

| | I finally went running. It’s been 9 days, and I could feel it. Things that don’t normally hurt hurt, and things that normally hurt hurt. On top of that, I’m a mucus machine right now. I was sucking air.

| | am—7 Ran out w/ the crew then flipped to find Kylee. We made it halfway up the Sand Hill and headed back. Decent pace on the return. This is my longest run in minutes and miles in about a month.

| | am—Some weights and body-weight exercises.
pm—5 River Trail to Sullivan and back w/ 6x striders. Things are coming back, but it still feels hard, especially chasing fit teens.
I finished Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance by Robert M. Pirsig last night. It was a slow read. I enjoyed the talk of matters resembling the title but slogged through denser passages contrasting Aristotle and Plato. My reading is set up nicely for other books on DIY living.

| | am—7.75 I biked to my parents’s house and met Tom to run the Anasazi Trail. It was just what I needed, chatting and enjoying the scenery. A run like this has been missing from my arsenal lately. I biked home after.

I also finished The Great Gatsby again. The real story of the American Dream told in fairly beautiful language.
