Just got some really deep thoughts about running today and for the rest of the (school) year. At footlocker I want to get under 18:29, which is what craik ran last year. And this doesn't have anything to do with beating him. I think this time would be a good challenge for me. Craik went on to run 4:41 and 10:18 while having a solid winter. If I can stay healthy and consistent throughout the winter I should be able to reach those times, if not beat them. But it all starts now. I am fully healthy and I need to stop slacking off. I am going to hit 30 solid miles this week and build up from there. I am going to sign up for a local turkey trot soon so I can just see where I am at. I know I can have a good track season and I need to start building a good base for it now. |
