3 mile warm up on TM with incline. Followed by 5 miles of intervals around the track. My body is feeling tired from the previous two weeks. Tapers are good, but I feel like a slug.

A slug with 9 miles?? I don't think so. I don't care how fast/slow it is!! You are doing awesome and I can't wait for Boston for you. You're going to do great and get a new PR - I can just feel it :)

I second Rachel. You're such a diehard. 9 miles with 7 fast ones, just coming off a Half-mary PR race is nothing to sneeze at. GOOD JOB!!! Enjoy the taper!

When I get comments on my blog from fellow runner friends, it makes me so happy. It also pushes me out to the road, or the TM in my case the next day. Thank you for the support!

TWO half marathons back to back, and still running hard, strong, and fast. You are AMAZING!!!!! Notice how I pretty much took a week off after doing that? Now, call me a slug, I will not be offended, but YOU are NO SLUG!!!!!

RAD,

I would love to do an "Easter" run with you folks this Saturday. That will motivate me to actually wake-up, get out the door, and put some miles in.

Kelli,

I don't know if it was the two races in two weekends or what. Every morning this week I have been talking myself out of getting up to go run. This is very unlike me. The entire time I have been training for Boston I have not missed a workout until this week. Why is my body shutting off? Good thing I am on a taper.

All right!! We'll see you on Saturday.

I think your body is just tapering for you!

From Smooth on Wed, Apr 08, 2009 at 15:55:45 from 70.56.102.54

Bec,

yep, your body is naturally tapering; good sign. Listen to it. It's okay to not jump out first thing in the morning for workout. It's okay not to run at all. It's like battery that needs charging. You'll be so ready to fly when you toe the line in 12 days. See you Sat. bright and early.

Smooth,

Thank you for the inspiration. I feel like I do need to re-charge the battery. I'm excited to see you.
