| 7 miles. 1 to and from the gym. Well, they turned the heat up to 76 in the gym... I never understand why they do this, it doesn't save money on enrgy by any means. It was warmer there than in my house.
They got new TMs :) You know, because all of the extra $ they have left over at the end of the year. The other TMs were old (2yrs) hahaha. I like the digital TMs, I can run all over the world.
I ran 6 miles in 45 min, pretty nice

| Running With the Bulls 10k today, one of my favorite races! I have never raced with a stroller, but I gave it a go today!
We got to the race and warmed up and talked to friends. Before the race a group of runners from Mexico tried to get everyone to follow them in their warmup, it was like aerobics or something? Their shirts said "Runners Girls" nice.
I started too far back because I was dodgeding so many people with the stroller. One girl cut in front of me and I actually hit her. :( Sad, but it wasn't my fault. The road seemed pretty bumpy and the corners were muddy and slick. I thought I had a really nice pace. The 5k and 10k split off of each other and things started to even out. I had space to run and the road was wide and free of traffic.
At about mile 3 I saw the leading group making their way back to the finish. The leading lady was with the pack, sooo fast. I never saw any other girl in front of me and there was one girl close behind me. I held a steady pace and skipped the drink stations because I knew she would catch us.
The last two miles started to really burn, my lungs hurt and my legs were getting tired. I know this course rather well, so I just hanging on. I impressed myself with my strength and determination. haha. I looked at my watch and it said 35 minutes, I knew David would be finishing and heading back soon to come and get us. Just keep pushing until you see David, you can do it!
I saw David with about a half mile to go!! Thank heavens! He took the stroller and my pace sped up a lot. My heart was racing very rapidly at this pace and I focused on breathing. "GO" I kept saying this over and over in my head. I was going. We even passed a few guys on the way into the finish.
I was EXTREMELY pleased with my stroller push. Naomi just slept the entire time. Last year I ran the race at arounf a 41 min. David took first with 36:50. Leading lady won at 38:38. Whew! Awesome times . We won 3 months of Cross Fit at the raffle, what a dream...

| Fed Naomi at 5 am and David wasn't going to go to the gym, score! 8 miles on the TM. Felt amazing to be done with my workout before 7 am. Naomi got her 4 month shots today. :(

| Sooo, I really enjoyed the base Turkey Trot this year. I got two of my friends to come out and participate. They both pushed strollers and just did a fabulous job. I love to see when my friends and family get excited about running when they actively participate in it.
David decided he would race while pushing the stroller. I was excited to actually run FAST without the stroller holding back my time. Running up to the gym from our house the weather was really soupy. It looked like it could be cold but it was muggy and pretty warm. We ran a little over a mile for our warm up. We pinned on our cardstock numbers and got ready.
Off we went on the same route they always use. I sprang out in front and David was actually BEHIND me. That was a first for sure. I ran out in front of him and he clipped me a little with the stroller. I was for sure going out WAY too fast. Then again, everyone in front of me went out super fast. David slowly caught up to everyone and within in a half mile he was the leader (pushing a stroller).
By the beginning of the third mile, I was second (men and women). I watched a fellow runner named Jim slowly die inside as I passed him. He yelled something at me, something along the lines of being passed by a girl. Then my shoe came untied with more than a half mile to go. Dang it! I pulled over and quickly tied it. Jim passed me as well as another guy. I ran hard and caught back up. Turned up the last road leading to the home stretch and pushed it. Second place. It was a pretty awesome race. I guess technically Naomi won because she was the first to cross the finish line. :)
We chilled and waited for the turkeys to be given out. First and second of each division got a turkey, so we got to take home two. We LOVE getting turkeys at the turkey trot, it's our Laughlin tradition. This was our fourth year, and hopefully we will claim them again next year. :) they were 16 pound turkeys too. I also enjoy getting turkey the week before Thanksgiving so we can actually prepare them and have them for our feast.

| Great 10 mile run with Naomi in the stroller. More of these runs need to occur because well, they keep the fat away during the holidays. :) Beautiful out, just beautiful.
