Bike ride up AF canyon from my house.  Around 24 miles of riding.  Beautiful fall weather + calm and peaceful canyon = awesome ride!  On the way home my rear tire blew out :( My bike needs new tires anyway.  I was just happy that something tragic didn't happen that would have sent me off of my bike.

I think I will lift a little later.

*Yesterday and today I have felt AMAZING since the marathon.  I am challenging myself not to run for an entire week to stay away from injury.

Nice work lady! 24 miles up a canyon on a bike is worse than running I think :)

Sorry about the tire, but I'm SO glad you're feeling great - you deserve it!!

Great job on the ride. Sorry to hear about the blow out. Great plan of now running for a week.

Riding up AF canyon is scary. Glad you were okay with the blow-out tire. NICE active recovery! I don't think I could resist the temptation to NOT run when the weather is so perfect.

You must be my neighbor :) Looks like you're recovered from the race. Nice.

You definitely won't regret taking the week off after your big PR!! Your body will thank you!!

Smooth,

The canyon was not bad at all! So peaceful. Maybe there were 10 cars that passed me up and down along the way. If you go to that canyon in the middle of the day, on a weekday, there is hardly any traffic. It is a BEAUTIFUL place to run.

That's good to know. The only days I run up there were on Sat...lots more traffic.

sounds like a good approach. great ride today. it's such a perfect time of year for cool, peaceful canyon bike rides. so glad your tire blowout didn't end in disaster. be careful out there!

Bec,

Will you write me up a training plan!!! I am totally serious. If I lived closer I would for sure go with you. Really though, another PR, way to go!!

I would really like a running schedule. I am thinking about running Ogden in 2010 and would like to do it in a Boston qualifying time. Can you help me out.

I really need to use this site more often. You could be my online coach!!! What do you say?
