Rode the bike up Suncrest and came down the Draper side.  The wind was blowing me over on the way down and I got really scared.   I rode around the Point of the Mountain on the way back.  I am now freezing and covered in mud.

Test run 3.5 at a 7:30 pace.  Hopefully I can pull 7's tomorrow.

I have heard the wind up that way is pretty strong! Glad you made it home, sorry you're freezing and mud covered though :)

Thanks Merri. I had no idea what to expect on the Draper side of that hill climb. I'll be better prepared next time.

I am in complete amazement! You are Superwoman, if the wind was blowing that hard I'd have sacked it in! Glad you are enjoying that new bike and making it your friend :)

Yeah, that sounds like an amazing ride- way to go! And I hate being covered in mud and freezing. Well that hasn't happened to me, but I know I would hate it :)

WOW!!! You rode OVER the MOUNTAIN and back!!! You're AWESOME!!! Sorry about the wind and freezing mud. It was breezy at JRP which is perfect for running! GOOD LUCK on your 5K tomorrow! You have legs of steel from riding that new bike! :)

RAD,

I had no choice or else I would have sacked the whole thing. I did stand at a gas station for about 10 minutes. I held the brakes on my bike all the way down the mountain too. I'm a baby.

Leandra,

Thank you! I don't know how amazing it was, just happy to live and talk about it. :)

Smooth,

JRP this morning? I am jealous. I think that in the next few weeks I will be ready to join you again. Legs of steal? Hmmm, don't know about that.
