Tried to Tri.

1 hour spin class with Spandey. AKA Skinny Danny.  He wasn't as annoying as he usually is.  His class still drove me a little crazy.

1 hour on the elliptical

ManP workout (about 45 min total)

I did get an evening swim in.  20 minutes pool running and 800 meter freestyle.

The most pleasant part of my gym experience was spending it with RAD.  Time on the elliptical went so much faster with her by my side.  I saw Jeff L and Melanie B and introduced them to RAD.  Thank you so much for the enduring workout RAD.

My family and I are starting a "cleanse" tomorrow and I am actually pretty excited.  I am only blogging this so I can be accountable for my eating for the next three weeks.

Cleanse? Sounds miserable.

From RAD on Sat, Jan 30, 2010 at 18:30:31 from 67.172.229.125

The cleanse will be good, just eat enough to keep your crazy workouts fueled!!

I was SO SO SO happy to have your company today as well - that stupid elliptical will be the death of me!! If I get injured again and have to do that machine for another 6 weeks I think I will pull my hair out!!

Sorry you didn't get the swim in - I know you were looking forward to it! However, if I know you, either you'll find a way to get it in tonight or Monday :) Speaking of - Monday 5AM muscle class then 6AM spin? I'm game if you are? Or you can meet me for spin - I have Dr at 9, so my gym classes will be useless to me Monday!

Good luck with the cleanse! There is no way I could do it! I am just cutting back on my sugar and I miss it terribly!

From Smooth on Sun, Jan 31, 2010 at 01:34:26 from 174.23.232.65

Sounds like a perfect day at the gym.

OK, I'm gonna bug you about the cleanse! It's so cool that you're doing it as a family. Seriously, my boys, especially my hubby, sabotage my diet way too much. I'm doomed! GOOD LUCK with the cleanse!

@Jeff, the cleanse won't be that bad. (I say that now and it's only day 1). I will let you know how it is going.

@RAD, Monday I teach at 6, so there is no way I will make to either class, sorry. I still think you should hit up the classes though. Talk to Melanie B on the blog, she usually goes to both of those classes.

@Jody, I am nervous about the NO SWEET thing. This diet will only be for the good, right? Good luck with what you are doing too.

@Smooth, This cleanse wasn't even my idea! I was so happy that I did not have to be the wring leader for the family. I just follow the plan. I will let you know how it goes. If I am not running, I might as well clean up my eating act, right?

great tri workout. what does your cleanse entail?

From Bec on Sun, Jan 31, 2010 at 16:01:36 from 76.23.55.210

@Allie, it's a gluten free and dairy free diet. The first and last week there are a few select animal products (fish, turkey, and chicken), and the second week no animal products. There is also a drink called ClearVite that you drink everyday. The drink is packed with vitamins, protein, and cell cleansing enzymes.

It is actually a really reasonable cleanse that rids sugar and processed junk out of the system. I am curious to see how it will make me feel.

From allie on Sun, Jan 31, 2010 at 16:07:31 from 98.202.24.36

very cool. i will be interested to see how it goes for you. i have been dairy/meat free for a few years and gluten free for about 4 months. i have never felt better, to be honest. good luck with it.

From Bec on Sun, Jan 31, 2010 at 16:13:01 from 76.23.55.210

Really Allie? Thank you for the encouragement. Sometimes it's hard to take a step into a direction we are unsure of. Your comment just re-affirmed why I want to make changes with my diet.

From RAD on Sun, Jan 31, 2010 at 18:09:08 from 67.172.229.125

I wish I wasn't so lazy with my eating and would be successful at a diet like that!!

Becca, about Monday - no worries, but I think I will hit them anyway simply because I have to do the Dr's apt and I want to still get in a non-elliptical workout!

From TBarlow on Sun, Jan 31, 2010 at 22:19:00 from 216.194.124.36

Wow - your cleanse sounds awesome! What is the name of it? I have very little self control when it comes to food - I think I would die if I did that! I'm anxious to see how it goes!
