Crutched all the way up to the HPER building to swim, only to find that the pool is closed today. So, I called an athletic trainer to go swim in the small pool in the training room. We got there and spent a half hour trying to get it to work, to no avail. And since none of my roommates with a car are here today, I have no way of getting to a different pool in which to swim. So, no workout today. Erg.

Hey wait, What?!? I don't read your blog for a week and all of a sudden you're on crutches? Wow. So will you be able to jump right back into running after 2 weeks, or will it be a slow build back up?

From Ruthio on Sat, Sep 19, 2009 at 17:40:05 from 67.171.115.148

Slow build up, definitely. And depending on how my x-rays go next Friday, maybe more than just two weeks of crutches. Meh.

Ugh. Meh is right (perfectly matches your new picture)- I'm sorry. Hopefully this is early enough in the season that you can bounce back for the meets that really count. Water running is boring but can maintain fitness.

Ah! This totally sucks Ruthie! I hope you are dealing okay. Get that foot better!

Myler is doing good, btw. Thanks for asking! He is a chunk!

Hey, you little college girls need to learn how to let your body rest, recovery days should be just that recovery. It always catches up with you and bites you right in the butt, or the legs! Sorry to hear you are hurt though, I hope you mend quickly. Make you you ease back into it though.

Hey! I do take recovery days easy! I sure as heck didn't during high school, but I have been a lot better at taking easy days slow. >:( Apparently 'twasn't good enough.
