It can vary quite a bit with weather and dehydration. The monitor can also spike in the first mile or two. Mine did that today when it has otherwise been very consistent.

Jason, You are probably right about the dehydration. The weather has gotten sporadically warm again and I seem to sweat a lot and don't drink enough.
