Marathon: 3:15 or better Long-Term Running Goals: Run into old age. Personal: Married with 2 lively boys. I love running and I love getting faster. Just trying to figure out how to balance life between being a mother, wife, part time nurse, and runner. :)

| Long run. Average pace 8:39. This was difficult for me. I was good until about mile 13 and the wind picked up and seemed to get stronger against me as I stumbled home. Crying/sick kids were waiting for me at home. Awesome. :)

| Breaking up the run into segments made it go by so much faster. 6 miles easy. 3 miles at marathon pace (7:32, 7:31, 7:18) 2 easy miles. 3 marathon pace miles (7:25, 7:25, 7:23) 2 miles cool down. | Outside miles followed by some plyometrics at the park. About halfway through my box jumps I had the thought, "man, I'm getting tired." Then BAM! I didn't quite make it and landed on my shin. 2 swollen goose eggs and a few swearwords later I hobbled home. |
