PM: Biked for 13 miles.
Late PM: 8.2 mile workout with Darek, 6k worth of speed with honest recoveries (2:00). ~5:50/mile pace. The bike ride really sapped my energy for the workout, but I did try my best.

| AM: 10.3 miles in the pouring rain. As I have said- running in thunderstorms and through flooded streets is MUCH better than running in the sun. The chaffing afterwards disagrees with me...
PM: 10 mile bike ride.

| Pretty sad. I'm just passing the 500 mile mark here in July. I suppose I should run more, but I am just enjoying the process. I did sign up for a race however! Moon over Croom a night-time all trail. It's a (usually) rainy/muddy race in Withalacoochee forest in about a month plus. 21-miler. I haven't run over 15 miles consecutively in about eight months, so it'll be... interesting. The field is small- 250 total, so I might be able to just use it as a marathon prep workout. Or, if someone wants to push the envelope, I'm usually pretty game. Either way, excited.
PM: 11 miles @ 7:56/mile pace on the treadmill and then lifted a little.

| AM: 6x4:00 repeats with 90 second honest recoveries, followed by 3x0:15 "sprints." 5:38/mile average for the long intervals. Felt average.
PM: 15 mile bike ride. Was epic.

| AM: 13.5 miles. Did a hm in 1:36 or so with 1000ft elevation on the treadmill. Felt pretty easy, although the treadmill is tough mentally. The hills helped break it up. Although I wish there was the benefit of downhills on the treadmill!
Also did some lifting.

| PM: Workout with Darek, Jeremy, & John at 4pm. Was a sauna, but I was pumped to work hard for some reason. I really like workouts sometimes- it's just fun to challenge myself. Workout was 2 x 5k with 1 mile in between. First 5k was easy and we nailed it by 10-40 seconds depending on whose watch you trust, but the second sent my heartrate a bit too high. It was not hard, and my form wasn't breaking down, but the humidity just makes it impossible to sweat and cool down so my heart goes insane. A year ago, myocarditis would have had me in a bad state after this workout, so it feels good to feel fine afterwards. A tough day for running. Tomorrow is supposed to be my first double- we'll see if I actually am successful as I'd like to do some biking as well.
The watch thing was annoying. It keeps reading slow, but I'm in no mood to buy a new watch. It shouldn't be an issue, so maybe it's just in need of an update.

PM: 10 miles, @9:29/mile pace. Humidity was not the easiest, so I launched myself in the pool afterwards to bring the body temperature down.

| AM: 11.50 miles of suffering. 9:00/mile pace. It was 7:40ish pace through eight, but then I just lost interest and got over-heated. Just wanted to scrape to ninety miles. Definitely seems like it will be a mistake with a long run tomorrow, as I won't recover fast enough.

| PM: Lifted light and then medium long run on the treadmill. Short warmup, then 1000 ft elevation half marathon in 1:36ish, then a half mile cool down. Felt easy. Definitely like the inclines the most- makes it more entertaining.

| AM: Trail run with 5-mile progressive to finish it off. Then ran a little extra to get to my distance goal of 110. I don't really have a good reason for wanting to run that much, just felt like it this week I guess.

| AM: 15.1 miles. Felt quite surprisingly good after mile one. Mile one is always a liar. Sometimes so is mile two. It's only when miles 3-5 are liars that you really need to wonder about your choices in life.

| AM: 10.3 total miles, 4 fast. A bunch of striders, then 12 x 400 (but really 90 second intervals) followed by 4 x 0:30 seconds. Splits were all 1:14-1:17, and they felt quite easy and I jogged all of the recoveries. I almost always default to running the recoveries now which I know is more intended for endurance/tempo style intervals, but at as I get older the constant starting and stopping ruins the flow.
PM: 4.2 miles, 8:59/mile pace.

| AM: 8 miles, one fast helping on intervals with Brian and a couple guys
PM: 9.2 miles with a workout. Modified michigan- 1 mile hard, 1 mile tempo, 0.75 hard, 1 mile tempo, 0.5 hard, 1 mile tempo, 0.25 hard with John, Jeremy, and Darek. Splits- 5:27, 5:56, 5:25/mile pace, 5:57, 5:39/mile pace (trees, this one is wrong), 5:53, 5:00/mile pace.
Good workout. The half and 3/4 mile intervals had something shady happening to the distance measurement, as I know I was working harder and faster than the 5:27 mile, but I guess the splits don't matter in the end with the heat/humidity, it's really about the effort in comparison.

I guess that answers the age-old question- how long does it take to go from 0 to 120 for mileage? Three months. However, a better method would be to not take off time to begin with!
