That last two days have been rough. It's not normal having to pick your thigh up just to move it, or ask for some help to sit down to pee, or hold onto the walls when your quads buckle out of nowhere. LOL! I went on a walk around the block last night to try and help move some of the lactic build up through. It must have helped a little since I was able to hobble into the gym this morning. I got to the gym around 5:15 and worked on the eliptical for and hour and 30 minutes. There's a man there named Scott who I am friends with. He noticed me walking funny. He said: "are you hurt"?  I just laughed and told him I'd tell him next time we ran by each other. After all, it was kind of crazy of me wasn't it? -running down a steep rocky trail at full speed. It didn't hurt at the time but this after pain is rough stuff. Still, it was a good experience and I had fun.

But I'd give anything to feel normal again.

Oh have to mention, I swear my quads doubled in muscle size. Think I like my distant runners tone better then this super rock hard look. Just my preference anyways.

1 hour 35 min on the eliptical. My quads are still hurt. I am noticing some small improvement each day. I worked out to this album, but can't seem to get this song out of my head.I go to bed and it's in my head, I wake up and it's playing in my head. It's all good, I like this song.

1 hr 30 min on the elliptical. Legs feel better today. I'll try running tomorrow or Friday. I have a feeling it will be Friday.

Lot's of funny/weird things happening today. I weighed myself first thing when I got to the gym and I'm down 2 lbs since Monday. Woohooo! . I worked out with Kira on the elliptical for 1 1/2 hrs. Then I worked core for 15.

There's a guy ( I can't really call him a man)  who has been attempting to flirt with Kira and I with big cheesy smiles and staring and walking past us back and forth through the workouts. I find it funny because   a) he looks like a little boy to me    b) he has no idea we are married and to us, he looks stupido    c) He is SO obvious and cheesy.   d) I swear he's wearing bowling shoes.  Every time he would put his headphones on I would start singing a song I made up about 'I'm going bowling tonight'. I give Kira side aches from laughing.   LOL!  I know nobody cares about this but I want to put it down here so I can laugh again later.

What does this have to do with running? Not a damn thing. Happy Thursday peeps.

**pm update**  ran 3-4 miles on the track with Julie and Kira and it was FUN!!!

I was able to run some today. I did 5 miles in 37 minutes with Julie. Then 30 min on the elliptical.

Last night I met Kira and Julie at the track and I was able to run 3 1/2 miles without any soreness. We even did some 4X1 minute in sub 6 paces w/1 min jogs in between each. Tomorrow I'm going to try a longer outside run and see how my legs do. Sunday we go to Lake Powell until Thursday night. I think I'll take a nice run in Page Arizona on Sunday night and Monday morning. Hey why not? Maybe there are a lot of drunks there, but I own pepper spray.

** pm update** Ran the river trail loop reversed. There was a bit of nasty head wind for the first 1 1/2.  The head wind will reflect a bit in the first two splits.  4.15 miles total. Splits: 7:53 7:40 7:02 7:10 7:21

Random thoughts ahead.  From the crazy  run I did last Saturday I wasn't able to run at all until Thursday evening and Friday morning. I feel a ton better but my uppers quads are still sore and tight. The thing I am worried about is a lack of running/exercise while at Lake Powell Sunday-Thursday. I'm supposed to run the Red Hot Pink Chicks 1/2 Saturday July 10th. What was I thinking? I hope I am not toast. Maybe I'll be doing some Lake Powell beach runs. Yayyers!

A few months ago I blogged about this article. I had my  body fat percentage tested recently and I am at exactly 19%.  Not bad peeps

I am still aiming to loose another 1 or 2%  more. But If I am going to loose  more, there is a definite breast enhancement coming with it, thank you very much.

This morning Julie and I met on at Spanish Fields drive and ran 2.60 to Golds. It was the craziest morning ever. When we got there it was 6:05 am and it still wasn't open. The Saturday morning girl didn't show up. All of us peeps were standing around waiting. Well Julie Kira and I got fed up and we ended up leaving and running around some city blocks for awhile. We came back and still no gym person. We stood there for a bit again and finally at 7:05 a guy showed up to unlock the door. Everybody was a little peeved. So we got inside and I ran 5 more miles. My upper quads hurt so bad so I jumped off and did the elipitical for 25 minutes. Then Julie and I tanned, then we ran back home for another 2.60. The workouts seemed so broken up from stopping and starting again....we just felt blah!  Julie did a total of 13.50 miles today I think. Rock on Jules! I am worried about not being able to run while on Vaca. It socks my stamina right between the eyeballs. I am going to be in big trouble!
