40 minutes elliptical hell. 2.5 on the dreadmill. Weights. 3.6 outside on the river trail at a 7:30 pace. -about .50 into my outside run, realized I forgot my pepper spray. Hoped for the best that a rabid dog or human wasn't out and about.

*3.5 pm miles on the trail.

50 min elliptical hell.

8.5 outside. Some days outside I can run pretty quick, other days I run slower. I don't understand why. These are the days I curse the 8 week injury, and the fitness I lost. Grrrrrr

5k on Saturday and I am feeling discouraged. I won't expect a sub 20 min. I feel pathetic this mornin'.

Overheard at the park yesterday from a skating teenager in goth, blue painted nails and crazy hair: "I think I'm destined to be just a regular guy."   -In your case, I would say 'regular' is a step-up. Way to aim high buddy.. aim high. ha!

Elliptical for 58 min, and 1.3 running. My knee is bothering me a bit. What's next? I'm falling apart.

Cookie Chaser tomorrow. Let my knee work!

The field was weak :)  Allie is a little hurt so she could not run today. But she was still there as fiddy was there running as well. 2k looked easy, but I am full of self doubt so I kept telling myself that I was going to suck. Ran it and passed Mrs. Samoa in the first .50 mile. She ate my dust and I won the 2k for females. First mile was in  6:22  :)

The field looked only slightly better, off we go and I am running with the cookie for about the first .50 mile, then I pass her and am in the lead (among women) for a bit. The gal who came in 2nd behind me in the 2k catches up to me and we run side by side playing the passing game for the next 1.5 miles. There were 2 hills in the mix which wasn't a big huge deal but still, a hill is a hill.  Finally in the last mile she passed me and she finished 11 seconds before me. I love/hate 5k's because every year at the beginning of the year, I go through the same shenanigans with trying to figure out how to run them. I need to stop looking at my watch and telling myself I am going to fast. I really believe this is my biggest downfall. Oh and running on grass to the finish with fresh slippery snow on top did not help the time. Next week, provo city marathon, half and 5k. I am doing the 5k again and I think I'll wear my watch, but I won't look at my watch. I'll run on feel. Today's 5k time is 2 minutes slower than my 5k PR from last summer. Oh dear, I have lot's of work to do!

Love hangin' with Allie and Fiddy!
