40 minutes elliptical hell. 2.5 on the dreadmill. Weights. 3.6 outside on the river trail at a 7:30 pace. -about .50 into my outside run, realized I forgot my pepper spray. Hoped for the best that a rabid dog or human wasn't out and about.

*3.5 pm miles on the trail.

How do you get up so early for your workout? I am amazed! I wish I was a morning person! I always grab a rock when I forget my pepper spray. Ha! Not that my rock would do much good, but it makes me feel better. The trail by my house that I always run on had some crazy guy stab people with a knife last summer. Makes me a little nervous to be on it by myself now! Crazy people!

As an alternative to pepper spray, Merri may know some people at they gym that have other stuff to spray.

Steam, I am a little unsure how I wake at 4:30 mon-fri. I've been doing it since 2002. It's just a habit. But I fall asleep by 9 or 9:30 every night, so I am out early. Hey and a rock is a good idea! I don't see many scary people, just a couple of times is all. I mostly see other runners on the trail. All are friendly. But our trail has had a couple of creep-o's on it -esp in the summertime!

Don't worry too much about the pepper spray. I'm sure you can outrun 99.999% of the riffraff out there. :)
