| | 21.62 miles from the front of my house to the top of City Creek and back. 3:20:36 9:17 ave. I'm not a good enough writer to express how beautiful this run was. City Creek was amazing, sight, sound, temperature and smell. All the weekend rain really greened it up too. |

University of Utah Homecoming 5k (3.1 Miles) 00:20:32, Place overall: 19, Place in age division: 1 | | One of my favorite races of the year. I didn't run as fast as I was thinking I could, I can tell I've been running less mileage this summer. Oh well, I'm having a great summer and had a great time at this race. 1st in AG is always good. There were 12 men in my age group and about 407 overall. This is a tough, hilly 5k. | |

Big Cottonwood Marathon (26.2 Miles) 03:34:52, Place overall: 55, Place in age division: 4 | |
I ran this race as one of the pacers for the 3:35 group with Paul (prlman on the blog) It was my first time pacing and I enjoyed it very much. This is a good race and Big Cottonwood is beautiful this time of year. The first 14-15 miles of this race is very fast, the next 11.2 is full of rollers and a few decent hills. The last half mile of this race is a KILLER. My pace over the last .2 miles was 14 minute mile equivalent. It took me 2:47 to cover that distance. ... I couldn't believe it either.
