Can't believe how sore I am as a result of the race on Saturday. I feel about as bad as I did after St. George a couple weeks ago. Quads, calves, ankles, back, and stomach all feel horrible. Going down stairs is not very fun and the worst is right when I wake up in the morning.
I really feel like I could have run the race in around 1:20 to 1:21ish on a normal day (I know it's easy to say this after the fact), and I think that is why I was so frustrated with how things went. PM 1 hour on the elliptical while reading Us Weekly (It makes the time go by a lot faster so don't laugh too much).

| | 5.03 at overall pace of 8:40. It seems that most people from the 1/2 last Saturday are back running, so I figured that I could go back to running. After about 1 minute I could tell my quads were still no good. Just tried to take it easy, but my legs are still very sore and I probably shouldn't have run. Maybe running easy today will help me to recover a bit faster. |

| | 5.0 slow miles on the TM. Legs feel better than the last few days, but certainly not normal. It's no fun to run when it hurts. |

| | 5.83 in 45:53 around the neighborhood. Legs felt a lot better today, but not all the way back. After two miles I would press the pace for 1 minute and then back off for 3 minutes. Continued to do this for the rest of the run. |

| | 12.25 in around 1:35:57 up and down Provo Canyon. Took it easy going up, and tried to push things coming back down a little bit. Around mile 9 my quads and legs really started feeling the 1/2 from last Saturday. Hopefully next week I'll be able to get back to feeling normal. Not too cold today, but not warm enough either. Lifted for around 40 minutes.

6.64 in 52:05. Avg pace 7:51. Finally started a week off semi-descent. Just a run around the neighborhood. Pretty cold, but was able to get by in shorts. However, wore two pair of gloves, a beanie, and a couple shirts. PM 4.82 in 37:06. Avg pace 7:42. No wind, not too cold - so I figured I might as well put in some more mile this evening. Felt really good as I went around the neighborhood.

| | 6.61 in 52:17. Avg pace 7:55. I took a new route to try and mix things up and it really helped to make the run more enjoyable. Weaved over Center St. and then made my way north to Main St. Headed west until I hit 500 West and then went north for a couple blocks. Turned and headed west until I hit 1100 West. Ran into Melanie B. around this point. Headed south on 1100 West all the way down to 700 South. Headed East until I hit Center St. and then weaved my way home. Very even splits for me as well, which is what I like to see. 1-8:21 2-7:53 3-7:47 4-7:58 5-7:55 6-7:47 0.61-7:27

| | 5.16 in 42:04. Avg pace 8:10. Headed out towards Saratoga for a few miles and then turned around and came back. Legs didn't feel all that great and almost justified not going, but I'm glad I got out the door. Did the elliptical for 20 minutes after lifting for about 40 minutes. |

| | 5.25 in 42:18. Avg pace 8:03. Sluggish run probably due to lifting weights last night and the bad eating yesterday. |

| | 12.0 up to Vivian Park and back down. Never would have run outside if I hadn't committed to meet Becca and run with her. Ran in snow the whole way and it just got deeper as we went higher up the canyon. Glad I got the miles in though. Didn't feel so great, but it was a different run because of the snow. Lifted 55 minutes.

| | 7.0 in 53:49. Avg pace 7:41. Went outside after work because I'm trying to take advantage of the descent weather. Felt good. Never tried to really push the pace, just let myself run. One of the better runs I've had in several weeks. |

Lifted 40 minutes this morning. Didn't want to run since I ran last night......and I just didn't want to run. I may try and run this evening as I think the weather should be pretty good.
PM Lifted 30 minutes more and then did 25 minutes on the elliptical.

| | 14.0 in 1:49:40 on the TM at the LC. Told myself I could go outside for the usual run up Provo Canyon, or I could spend 2 hours on the TM. Chose the TM could I didn't want to battle the wind or cold. I almost made it 2 hours, but overall was very happy with the run. This was one of the longer runs I've had in a while. |

| | 9.52 in 1:11:12. 7:29 avg pace. No work today, so I went running outside at 10:30. It was still cold, but after about 3 miles I felt fine. I'm amazed at how much faster I naturally run later on in the day as compared to the mornings. Didn't really push things, and my stomach never really felt that great, but my avg. pace was a lot better than normal. Will lift this afternoon.

| | 8.64 in 1:14. Started at Becca's house and ran towards Suncrest. Some good hills were mixed in and the time went by fast. Didn't feel all that great, but started feeling better as the run went along. So glad to get some miles in today and I was glad to do a run like this instead of doing a 5K race. Nice job Bec.

| | 8.95 in 1:06:45. Avg pace 7:28. Beautiful day today. Started from my house at 9:30 and was overdressed, but just plugged along and had a good run. Just naturally kept the pace descently fast. Afterwards, went and lifted and then did the elliptical for 20 minutes.

| | 12.20 in 1:38:23. Avg pace of 8:04. Started at my house at about 6:45. Hit Center St. all the way up to State St. and then over to 300 West. 300 West all the way up to where it T's and then made my way down to the Smith's Marketplace. Turned around and came back the same way. On the way out I have to climb in a couple spots, and my legs and lower back were very sore from the lifting yesterday. Good run today though and a good, solid 4 days straight of running to end the week.

| | 8.0 in 56:49. I caught fire on the treadmill and just kept going. I felt really good. First mile was about 8:40, and then I just got into a good groove. Lifted for about 20 minutes before running.
