Camp was great.  Kids did a gerat job, weather held pretty solid, and thing went very well.

morning - 8 Pine Lake.  Ran out to the overlook.  Such a pretty place.  Felt pretty decent on the run.  (Ravenna 260 - miles will be a little skewed here, because I am entering this week in from the end to the first)

0 - Just the regular Saturday off to rest the achilles.  I've wondered in the last few weeks where it has hurt so bad if I should move the day off to a weekday so that I don't have such a long weekend off.  But I don't know.  Heel actually felt quite a bit better by the end of this week - probably because of eliminating the doubles.  I'll just keep on keeping on.

AM - 7.5 Twix/BHNP.  Walked and ran a little with Twix.  At practice, set up cones and cooled with the team, also ran the tempo with the girls after the time trial.  (Peg grey 570.5)

AM - 12 DM/PV.  Walked for a little with Twix and then ran 3 loops up on the Dirt Mile with her.  Beautiful sunrises with the smoke in the air.  Then to practice at school.  (Tough thing about practicing at school means that school is starting... but it is also something I like: the structure, the anticipation, the new challenges).  For practice we did Pace Work (Temp, Thresh, CV sections) around a warm and cool.  Got to run with almost every group of kids today.  More and more kids keep telling me they will be gone for the Relays - maybe we'll have a team there.  (Peg Black33 605)

AM - 8.75 Twix/Trail to Nowhere.  Walked and ran with Twix.  Although the left achilles does act up a little, it is the right that is the major problem and today it was sending out some pain.  So that hampered the pace a bit.  Ran around the Pine View area for practice with a good chill group.  (Peg Oly 535.25)

AM - long walk with Twix.  Followed up by weights and ab stuff.  Leg felt great on yesterday's run, but by the end of the day was feeling shredded again.

afternoon - 4.5 DogTown.  35min run into Washington.  It was a hot one.  I haven't been running much in the afternoon (so I could avoid doubles) and I felt it today.  But, survived.  (Ravenna 300.75)

AM - 7.25 Twix/AC.  Twix and I had a pretty decent run.  Walked a little to warm up the leg and then was able to run with manageable pain in the achilles.  Team run out past Arctic Circle as usual on Wednesdays and Fridays.  Good session of abs after.  (Adios 512.25)

AM - 10.75 Twix/Old Mans. Little walk worth Twix and then a few miles. Had a Saturday practice with some of the team with Old Man Hill Circuits. I didn’t do much of the hills just running around coaching. Achilles is pretty painful today - usually have been taking Saturdays off, so today was a little more on it; plus, even though my mileage is pretty low, I even did a double this week. AM - Usually this is a run morning for Twix and I, but a big storm rolled in last night and never left.  So nothing with her.  Then at practice, we had to run inside, so I just walked for 30mins.  I'll see about running this afternoon a bit as the team does the workout.  Wore some new Brooks Levitate that got shipped to my house for some reason - I think I know why, but I'm not sure... whatever, Hooray for free shoes!  Abs after.

AM - long walk with Twix.  Weights and abs.  Got a new pair of Peg 34s (these ones weren't from the Shoe Fairy unfortunately) which means I need to kick out my two oldest shoes from the rotation.  Hopefully this can help bring some improvement to the achilles.

afternoon - 6 Foremaster.  Even though it isn't 110, it is still pretty warm.  This is a tough time of year around here.  With school and XC in full swing and not being super hot, my brain thinks it should be fall... 100 degrees is not fall.  (Peg NOP 6)
