I retired from the Army after 26 years of service in 2010. I moved home to Arizona. My wife and I are empty nesters. In 2016 I had stents placed in my heart after discovering coronary artery disease. Since early 2016 I have lost 30 lbs and got in much better shape. August 2017 I retired again. We served a mission to Mexico from October 2017 until April 2019.
total running time 41:50. out in 22:03 and back in 19:47. 18 seconds slower than last week but did this run on 2 days rest instead of 3.5 days rest. I have been really sore. If I weren't retiring from the army soon I would buy new boots but that is not worth it for 1.5 weeks. I have one more full day of work until I start clearing. it is so hard to believe.
I ran in the afternoon when it was 70 degrees. I also hadn't slept more than 4 hours at a stretch for 5 days. Lastly, I ran the seven mile route backwards with all the long elevation changes being uphill instead of downhill. This was took me 62:15 which was 3 minutes slower than what I ran it in just a week earlier. I was really tired afterwards too.
