Went on my big loop run. The first mile and a half my calves were as hard as a rock. I couldn't keep any kind of a pace. It didn't help that the first 3 miles are some good uphill. Then after I got to the top of the hill I finally started to enjoy the run and my calves started to loosen up. With only a half mile left my wife pulled up to the side of me in the car and at that point I just decided to get in so instead of 12 I only got 11.5 miles in. I didn't feel to bad about it.

Overall I felt the run was good. I'm not sure why my calves were so tight at the first. It could be that on Sunday I was sitting for hours at airports and on planes. Then on Monday back at work I was in a meeting for nine and a half hours just sitting there. With all that sitting- then going out on a run... maybe thats why. Or I could have just been sore from my last tread mill run on Saturday night in NYC. I ran it at a good speed and tread mills are harder on your calves.?

Who knows...

3.5 easy morning run.

Did an out and back run- 4 out, 4 back. Had some bad stomach problems. Two uncharted pit stops along the run. I also had bad side aches. I think I'm starting to clean out my system from the trip. I ate a pretty bad diet while in NY, and I need to pass it all through my system, just not off the side of the road.

bad day....

3.5 miles in the morning

In this life we all find our breaking points from time to time. I found one of mine last night. Came home from work around 4 and thought about running from my house through Washington fields over to my inlaws home. It sounded good so I told my wife and she said she could pick me up over there after. Well 100 degrees + 10 miles - no hydro of any kind= Superfly almost going to the ER.

I had to stop and walk 3-4 times as I was dizzy and finding it hard to stay on my feet. I told my wife I wish I'd had a panic button that I could have pushed and had here come get me around 6 miles into the run. Because of my pride, I made myself finish, not a very smart move.

After last night theres a new rule in our home. No running when its 100 outside. I'm just gonna have to wait until after 6:30 or 7pm to go out after work.

Morning run of 3.5 miles.

Came home from work very wore out. Slept on the couch for 2 and half hours and debated about even going out. Finally talked myself into it. Just went out enough to ge an even 10 miles in for the day with the morning run.

Went with Dustin on a run...We went from my house to the other side of town and ran up Web hill twice. Then came home around Costco and up.

When we left I had it around 15. Then we changed a couple of things and it ended up being 16. Good workout, running Web hill is all you can handle. Its almost 1 mile from base to top.

Hope your ankle is o.k. Dustin.

He rolled it when we went cross country running thourgh some rocks and other ish...
