Am- Started at sugar house and did the cemetery run, did two laps in the cemetery with Clayton to get to 8

Pm- 5 miles starting at the Highland sign and going to the dog park and back, me and Clayton sped up to a 5:50 pace coming back

Am- 8 miles at cottonwood complex, did a lap, strides and the region course with the team to get to 6, then added on 2 miles afterwards

Pm- Did a total of 7 miles with the team, sped up to 5:47 pace for about 2- 2 1/2 miles

Am- 6 miles easy in the morning, it was REALLY HOT and my legs hurt

Am- 8 miles with the race the warm up and the cool down, once I started my legs couldn't move and I went out with a slow 5:08 first mile, I was in fourth at this point and Terren, Jake and one other guy were ahead of me, I passed the two mile in 10:28, so my second mile was about 5:20, I'm pretty sure jake gapped me (more) between the second and the third mile, I passed the 3 mile in 15:52, the finish was a lot farther away than I thought it was, and then I finished in 16:28, which is a lot slower than other times I have been racing lately, so I'm not very happy with my time, but after we went on a nice cool down

Pm- 4 miles easy, could see all the fireworks on my run

Am- did a 16 mile run with dakota, tomy and Natalie stayed with us for the 4 miles then they turned around because they didn't need very many miles, our run started at liberty park then went down 9th east to 3rd ave, up city creek and then up a really hilly trail the connected to the JCC shoreline trail, then back down Virginia St. To south temple, then back to 9th east to liberty, where we added to 16. Also, Happy Birthday Bill

Am- Ran the red pine lake trail, it was 6.25 miles. At first it was only a little bit steep, but then the incline kept increasing until I was hitting somewhere in the neighborhood of 13:00 miles

Pm- 4.75 miles to even my mileage out to 11

Am- we went to sugarhouse park and did a grass lap around for a warm-up, then we did hill loops by the road followed by 4 hill repeats on the state hill, I tried to stay with Tomy the entire time. After we did another lap for 8 then added 4.5 miles with tomy to get 12.5

Pm- went to sunnyside and did 5.5 miles with the team, the pace fluctuated a lot, we started at around 7:20 for the first mile, around 6:40 for the third, and the 7:30 for the fith

Am- 9 miles at wheeler farm with speed, after 2 1/2 miles of warm up and strides we did four 800's on the trail loop, (my times might be a little off because my garmin starts late sometimes) my splits were 2:24, 2:27, 2:26, 2:25, after we cooled down to 9 miles.

Pm- went to liberty for the night workout and did one lap warm up, one lap of firemen and one lap cooldown, after we added on and I got to 5 to be at 14 for the day.

Am- Started at the JCC,went to Alta into citycreek, then we we went up until we hit shoreline and back to the JCC parking lot for 10.5. Quite a splendid run

Pm- went to cottonwood complex with sarah, stormy, eden, and dakota, we did 10 minutes warm up very slowly then proceeded to do 4 strides up a nameless hill, we did the region course as coll down than added to 5.5

Am- today was the slurpee run! We started at sunnyside and hit 9 stops, the run was about 8 miles, i tried to stay with Tomy and Clayton but they were chugging the slurpee's at an inhuman pace, my average pace was still 6:15, so I feel pretty good about this run.

Am- 2 mile shakeout around the hood

Pm- first race of the tour de run, the 5k, didn't even get there until about 7:18, so i only got 1 mile warm-up and a couple seconds of stretches. Once the race started i sat with Jake and Josh, after a little more than a mile they started seperating from me, for the second mile I was mostly racing by myself with Jake and Jake in sight, and ended up passing the two mile mark in 9:59. The third mile was when i could start feeling how little of a warm up I got and started slowing down some, I passed the 3 mile mark in 15:31, then finished in 16:20(?), either the course was long or witchcraft. After a two mile cooldown with the team and two more miles when I got home to finish at 10 for the day.

Am- showed up for day 2 of the tour de run day 2, today was the 10K and the 4.4 mile race. I warmed up 2 miles for the 10K, than had to tart right after leaving the bathroom. Once thr race started I was in position behind Jake and Josh, but I decided I didn't want to be too tired out for the second half and let them slip a little bit, the hill climb for this race was awful, I was hitting about 6:10 average pace up the hill. Once I was. Almost to the top of the hill Bill showed up on his bike and started pacing me, so I started hitting a faster pace, once we got to the mostly flat bike trail part my pace started speeding up back to 5:17 mile pace, I finished in 34:32 according to my watch.

After the 10K we went to have lunch, shop a little, and go back to the lake for an ice bath, I got about 1 and a 1/4 miles warm-up for the 4.4 miles. This race started much slower than the other ones and I was glad about it, because my legs weren't feeling very good befor the race. We went out with about a 5:06 first mile than I slowed down a lot because my legs weren't cooperating with me, Bill followed me on his bike again and got me to speed up, which is good. I can't remember exactly what my time was for this race, but my ave. pace was 5:34, so it wasn't fast. At the awards are team ( East high boys) got second overall! So we got a very lovely gift basket, I took third overall, and clayton took 7th for the top 10. Not far behind was chris kearl and dallen, who finished the top in their age group.

Pm: very slow 2.1 miles to hot even mileage for the week

Am- went to wheeler farms today, we did 2 and a 1/2 miles of warm-up followed by strides, and then fartlek. During the fartlek my legs were still hurting a bit so I didn't stay with Tomy, but I kept up with Natalie which is still an accomplishment. After we cooled down to get to 10 for the morning

Pm- we went to jordan river parkway and did 5 miles, it was raining the entire time, which was kind of nice.

Am- Started at my house and went to the glen and did two laps, than went down to liberty and added to 5. I was super sore during this run, but only after the downhill. Hit about an average 6:20 pace

Pm- 6 miles at libery park with dakota, nice and easy.

Am- Did the penny run today, after a lap around fairmont park, we did some circuits and strides than started the penny run. Me and clayton got out the furthest with 2.2 miles there and the same back. After we cooled down to 8 miles in the park.

Pm- we started at Bill's house and did a loop that went on highland drive, past macy's and back up to Holladay, after me, Clayton and Dakota added on a little. Finished off at 8

Am- slept through my alarm clock and missed practice (oops) so went out to do 4 miles in the glen, felt alright. I'll get a longer run in later tonight

Race: Draper Days 5K (3.107 Miles) 00:16:04, Place overall: 9, Place in age division: 3

Am- Today was the Draper Days 5K. After I warmed up about 2 1/2 miles I got to the line, the front was pretty packed and everybody had to go through a narrow chute right after starting. The first mile was pretty hard, I got a pretty good start but the front guys ( Jake, Tomy, Josh, Terren and a few others) were going fast for the firsy mile. I was about 4:49 for the first mile and the lead guys were about 4:43. The second mile hurt the most because it had the most downhill, which isn't working with my legs. Kramer passed me at about 2 1/2 miles and gapped me a little. I finished at about 16:04, which is an Ok time. After The team cooled down about 2 1/2 mile to finish at 8.

Pm- Got a late night 3 miles in

Am- quick 4 miles before we left on our trip

Pm- was planning on getting 6, but only got 4 because apparently the gym closes at ten. So I got 3 on the treadmill and only 1 outside because either side of our hotel is an onramp to a highway

Am- great run in the redwood forest, there were elk-a-plenty and it wad pretty cool, did two hard miles on the beach at about 7:10 pace in the middle of the run.

Am- i did 3 miles on a good trail full of huge redwood trees, twas rather fast. Than 2 more miles on a different beach than thursday, this beach was a lot less fun, it was all rocks.

Am- I went on a 6 mile run around my neighborhood, my legs felt really bad, probably from being in a car all day yesterday.

Pm- Good 6.5 mile run to even out my low-mileage week

Am- 4 mile run to my friends house. My shins felt bad on the downhill, but other than a good, fast, short run.

Pm- a late nigh run. My legs were feeling sluggish so I decided to go to the track, do four laps, then get 8X100m strides, after that I did 2 more laps and evened out my mileage to 10 for the day.

Am- Did the cemetery run today with garreck and Clayton, we did three laps in the cemetery to get to nine. Felt like going fast for the last mile, it was somewhere inbetween 4:55 and 5:10, although my garmin won't let me check my splits to know the exact time.

Pm- Did 4 1/2 miles at libery park with the team

Am- Went to wheeler farms and we did speed. First we did 2 miles of warm up followed by 10 strides. The workout was 400, 800, 800, 800, 400. The times weren't supposed to be really fast,the goal times were 75 for the 400's and 2:30 for the 800's. my actual times were 70, 2:26, 2:27, 2:27, and somewhere around 72 or something for the last 400. My legs were really sore, so I'm gonna take an ice bath tonight. We finished off with 2 miles cooldown to get to 8 for the entire workout.

Pm- 4 miles around the neighborhood with the team.
