I started running in 2004 when I needed to lose 100 lbs. or so. I got active with running and triathlons and still continue to participate in the local active events.  I am married with 3 children.

Early morning. Happy to be home. Went longer than I've gone in awhile and it took some doing to make it back. Went out at a decent clip and saw the XC kids running around the track stil doing their thing. Continued around the black hill and down towards the bridge. Crossed over came back home through the fields. That is my half marathon loop. The killer is that the last few miles are all good climbing. Wore my fuel belt and brought some water, thank goodness or I might have stuck my head in an irrigation ditch and drank whatever nasty crap was there. Warmed up and tuckered me out. Both feet ache. The fasciitis continues to plague and my left foot's issues return since I'm going longer...so I just stuck them both in a bucket of ice water and let them go numb for awhile. While the pain of the cold was overcoming me, I was being fed banana bread by my 6 yr old....good times in recovery :)
