Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc. 

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - Ran up to Sugarhouse and back, 10 miles just under 8:00 pace. Jake was dragging me along by the end - my endurance is wimpy!

Annual BD Turkey Trot 5K - 19:15 (5:56, 6:18, 6:09, :52)

Won a turkey :) Pretty happy with my performance - I felt strong. This is a tough double-loop course with an 80ft hill...the same course as always for work 5ks. I have run it so many times that I almost enjoy the course now. I did convince the wellness coordinator to move back the finish line so it would not be too short as it has been in the past. The last mile was my best effort, so that's a good indication that I'm improving. 

Talk about improvement - I ran this in 28:50 last year! And it was really, really hard - granted, I was only 2 months out from major surgery....but it makes me really happy to be feeling so much better in comparison.

AM - Draper run with Devra, Nan, Jake, and ALLIE! Hilly 8 miler then Nan and I rode bikes the rest of the way. Very cold morning but great company and breakfast.

PM Skinned up Great Western, 1750 ft. I had to drag Amiee and Jake up there :)
