Headed south to the Cedar Mesa to try and find some ruins in Road Canyon. Sort of freaky when you get to the unmarked trailhead off of a forever dirt road and haven't seen a single car or person in over an hour and then drop down into a mazelike canyon and wander around for hours scrambling up to ruins with a wiggly 11-pound weight in your arms knowing that no one knows where you are right now and no one would really notice that you are missing for quite some time and if they did they really woudn't know where to look. Made it out in time (need to start telling people where I am going) to catch the sunset in Monument Valley before calling it a night in Mexican Hat.

what an awesome week of adventure. you really know how to make the moose out of life.

that feeling when you realize no one in the world knows where you are or where to find you -- it's scary and awesome at the same time. :)
