| Another fabulous day of holiday! Spent the morning sipping cafe au laits on a terrace adjacent the finishing chute for the Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc. I am so impressed how excited people get for trail running over here, it is nearly out of control! Got inspired so I tried to run up to Le Boisson Glacier, but had to result to hiking most of the way. Get blown away by tons of old dudes - man do they breed mountain runners around here. Kind of excited to get back to SLC and get my bum running again! |

| Can't believe I was in France yesterday and now I am sitting on my bum at work. Went to the gym at 3 am this morning, because I guess I am still on Francelandia time. Did about .1 miles on the treadmill and felt like my hip was actually going to pop out of socket. It was making some sort of sweet audible crunching noise. I blame the 22 hours of travel yesterday or maybe my hip only likes to work in beautiful places. |

| Rode from home to the top of Mill Creek Canyon. Got a total arse kicking because it has been 3 weeks since I have gone for a real ride, but it managed to work out some of my hip funk so I am psyched. Resumed endless hip PT routine afterwards. Need to get back at it. Thinking of implementing some sort of PT compliance reward program. |

2 x 5 minutes of RUNNING on the TM and biking at the work gym. Easing into running take 35. Had horrible flash backs to my early recover days since I haven't stepped into that gym since March. Despite all the ups and downs I guess I have made some progress. Mission a lot more progress starts today! Think I've finally gotten to the root of the hip pain and it has to do with sitting on my bum in front of the computer most days. Major scheming underway to eliminate such problem.

| Chucked a sickie today! Have had absolutely no balance since getting back from France and my head felt like it was going to explode. Saw my PT and he gave me some new exercises to target the weakness/tightness in my left hip flexor. Then did ten easy miles on the bike. |

| 4 x 5 minutes of RUNNING with an extra 3 minutes at the end. Longest run (saddddd) in months, but I am not feeling horrible death hip pain the day after. Progress, I hope. I stretched the heck out of my hip flexor and quad before the run so I am wondering if that helped.
