Temple quarry, long jump squad went 40 today (along with everyone else). Nice run at a easy pace cause idk why I think everyone was tired from yesterday. I felt pretty dang good though. It was fun to reacquaint!

I went for a run to green spring while everyone else did a workout. I think I went 40. Running by myself can be stressful, too much thinking ah. I definitely need to retire pretty much all my pairs of shoes, dang.

I felt really good & had a deep discussion with Roberts regarding literature, Mia's new boyfriend & sleeping through his class, oops.

Idk how far I went 7 sounds about right though, may be overestimating myself a bit. 20 warm up, me & Roberts got talking about Catch-22, the book I'm trying to convince him to let us read next for lit, & ended up going like 7:50 pace lol. Then 15 minutes tempo. The time I "should've" been hitting was 8:00 pace but I just went with the varsity girls instead (like 7:25ish I think?). I entertained them all with my stories, very beneficial for everyone. Then i ran with jos around the track backwards for a bit. Then cool down, total of probably 15ish minutes. I had a nice talk with Roberts during that too. We just get talking & start crusing, it's a curse truly.

Suicidal tendencies, 50 minutes. I ran 20 out with the team but just couldn't hang so I turned back early & added on to get to 50. I utilized all this time to think A LOT. My life is really good right now

20 min warm up at approximately 4:30 pace, just kidding, but close. Then 6x60 sec half @ 7 min pace & half @ 6:40 pace, 5x30 sec @ 6:20(?), then 6x60 sec half at 6:40 & half at 7 min. Then like a lap cool down lol. The first 6 weren't awful but I could feel it that I hadn't been running as much as everyone else. The next 5 were really a struggle so I hoped out & did some laps while they did another set of 5x30s, by then I had regained some stamina & got back in for the last 6x60s. Overall a pretty good workout. On the recovery I taught everyone my "Fantastic" cheer & also rapped some ice ice baby for them. Both wildly popular. After I drove alex around trying to find his car, no luck.

AM- weights then 15 minutes. Almost got hit by a car cause the guy wasn't paying attention smh

PM- 20 min warm, then 20 tempo, then like 15(?) cool. It was so cold & rainy & I was like ew I don't wanna do this. Then we started & it wasn't as bad as expected, I was planning on going 15 again but decided to stay in for the next 5. Overall a pretty good solid workout, it feels like Friday.

45 minutes + striders. I spent most of my day at the hospital with my dad because he just got surgery so it actually felt really good to get out there. It was absolutely freezing though. My hands & legs were numb. & very very rainy. It was fun though & the first time since break I've ran the whole minutes on a run #goals

50 minutes. The wind was miserable. At one point it was completely sunny but just pelting us with rain & dirt, I don't even know where the rain was coming from there was no clouds. I should've gone farther, I don't know why I didn't. I felt fine & we weren't even going that fast. Learning experience I guess. I need to stick these (especially the long) runs out better. It's just kinda whatever these days.

Ur on the lone faithfuls. There's hurdle flexibility stuff you can do when you're just sitting down and chilling. You could do that stuff whilst watching friends and hey two birds one stone

20 min warm then tempo!!!! Going into it I felt fine but the first 10-15 minutes were rough. I wanted to drop out at 15, but I kept telling myself "you have to at least make it to 20 cause good grief alli" then when we got to 20 I was feeling A LOT better & decided to push it to 25, then at 25 I was still talking with the team & I was like alright alright alright if you can talk you have to keep running. So I ended with the team at 28 minutes. Overall it was a good good tempo that was a good confidence builder/mental battle. 9/10 would recommend

I am sick. No running/no school. It feels like someone is slicing my throat open with a knife and moving my eyes from anywhere but straight hurts like he*k. BUT I TOOK MY MATH TEST AND DID SO GOOD. I'm literally the proudest. Also the bachelor tonight was wild, absolutely blindsided me. 10/10 would recommend watching next weeks episode cause it's gonna be lit. AnywY, yeah back to running tomorrow. Roll tide y'all

Yikes. I went into this run thinking I was exactly where I was on Friday, that wasn't true. I couldn't even keep up with the group. I blame the sickness, I'll get things back on track tomorrow. I'm mostly feeling better it's just my dang cough & throat is really struggling. I even drugged up right before the run to keep the pain out of my head & eyes & they both felt fine. Whatevs

Regular Wednesday workout. Yikes. On the warm up I was coughing a lot & my lungs kind of hurt so I was just gonna see what I could do, we got going on the first set & I was coughing & it was making me feel like I was gonna throw up, & my lungs started burning. Not very good feelings, so I dropped. While I was just running around the track I could feel the disappointment, not from others on the track, I've learned that doesn't really matter, but I was disappointed in myself & really discouraged. I was just going to do the recovery lap with the team when I jumped back in but Roberts started talking to me & I decided to just push through it. I jumped back in & the first 3 were miserable, I knew they weren't helping me cause I wasn't focusing on form or anything, so the next 3 I started to focus on form, I still couldn't stay with the girls, but it helped to focus on form when I was tired. Anyway, bad workout but I learned a bit.

Tempo! On the warm up I knew this was gonna be a tough one. My whole body was just exhausted, I've lost a lot of sleep the past little while through sickness. But I was ready to give what I had. We started out & I was doing fine, tired but fine. I figured I might get into the same way I did last week after 15 minutes, but at 15 minutes I was actually falling off the pack. At 19 minutes I said that if I could work my way back up to the pack over the course of the next minute, I could stop. So I did & stopped. Then I just did laps around the track while they finished. This was a super tough mental workout, but I'm proud of how much I was able to stay in there, considering the circumstances. 7/10  !!!!Also prom's tomorrow & its gonna be legendary ahhh

Longest of runs. We went under the new overpass & up turkey farm road. I've been up there lots of times but never ran it, it was tough not gonna lie. But I felt really really good today. I have no idea why, could be the weather, or the easier week last week, or the fact that I didn't really eat lunch today (you'd think that's bad but apparently it works for me?¿) anyway, yeah, I felt really good. I turned around early to get 70, longest run this track season for meh. 3 cheers for that. ALSO me & brianna went & waited like an hour to get free frozen yogurt after & it was worth it to the max oh man.

Root beer mile. Wowowza. We did 20 minutes warm up then the mile. I drank my first can in approximately 30ish seconds I'd say & got out in a strong 4th girl. Then I couldn't drink the second can for the life of me, I did finish it though & got out on my second lap. With the third can I drank about 2 ounces of it then threw it away & did a lap right before they cut the time. Solid work to everyone. It's always a tough one lol. Then just about 7 minutes to get some more minutes in. BLECK I hate root beer

Normal Wednesday workout with a little baby twist. We did 4x60 sec at critical velocity, 3x60 at tempo, 3x60 at threshold and 4x60 at critical velocity. First we did a warm up of 15 minutes I believe, then the workout. The first 4 were our fastest & felt tough but manageable, then the next 3 felt easy & the next 3 weren't too bad either. The last 4 were tough but easy to push through because there was only 4. Then cool down on the track, we played lots of games. It was a lot of fun(: I felt good about this workout, it was hard but beautiful. 

THEN we went to the pv vs Dixie game THE BEST GAME ON THE WORLD!!!! We won & it was SUCH a GOOD GAME!!!!!!!!! Ah I'm still so happy about it. Then cake at Mitch's house for his bday(:

I was notttttt feeling good at the beginning of this run, my shins were in 1 tight knot. I wasn't fatigued or anything just my legs weren't having it. I turned around at 25 minutes & thought maybe I'd stop & roll out then add some on after I was less tight, but at around 40-45 minutes they finally started loosening up a bit so I just added on from there up DI & around the school a couple times. I was alone for most the run so I thought a lot a lot a lot which is not good for me. After I rolled out with Josie's roller that she kindly offered to let me borrow

AM- 20 to arctic circle. It was cold but I felt pretty good. & did not get hit by a car despite my abandonment of a light colored shirt

PM- 12x400s @ critical velocity + 5 min tempo before & 4 striders afterward. I felt really good during the workout but after each interval I just felt really nauseous & after the 400s I thought I might throw up. So that's it. I'm actually going to become serious about drinking water & eating healthier, I know that's my problem because when I do drink water I have a much more successful workout/run. Someone hold me to this

Time trial. 15 min warm, idk if the girls did a tempo cause I went to the bathroom & when I came back they were just chillin so I guess we forewent that. Then the 800, there were only 4 girls & like 12 people in it so it was a small group. I just kinda went with it, I don't really know, I wore my trainers & just pushed when it got hard. The thing is: it wasn't really mentally hard, but it's the hardest I've pushed since at least sophomore year. & I haven't ran in 6 days. As long as I keep it chill like I have been and quit worrying about shiz I should do just fine. Then 2x800s at critical velocity pace, those felt nice.

I've been having serious head problems lately so I went to the doctor & he hurt me a lot then prescribed me w some stuff, hoping it works. Into Middleton, under the new overpass, there's a ledge on the side of it that's right below the road & I ran up it & ran along the edge of it, but I was crouching/running cause it was only about 3 ft below the actual freeway, it made my legs very tired but worth it. Then finished down the road to harts & added a little to the car wash where we saw the CUTEST dog. Then I did long jump for a while & went home to celebrate my dads birthday!!!!

Crappy things about this morning- I got a total of 2 hours of sleep last night & woke up with the worst headache I've had in months. Good things- I got through the whole workout, hit all my times, & my legs felt the good kind of tired and not sore! Was a mental booster that I can do things even when they suck & shoutout to carli because I definitely would've dropped out if she hadn't've been there.. #2blessed2bestressed

First off, NEW SHOES WOOHOO !! I had work this morning so I didn't get out until like 12, but the weather was still nice, it's the best this time of year. I ran up gs dr & turned right at the gas station into Middleton. I ran 45 minutes & that was pretty much the cap for today, I was beatttt by the end. My training has been very sporadic up to this point & im paying for it in easy runs like this. Just trying to get back to loving running

65 minutes. WHAT A LONG, HARD WORKOUT went to the track at 8:30 & did some warm up & tempo (I never realized but I truthfully haven't known our tempo time this whole year, I've just gone with the girls. So I just had to try & feel the pace & hope for the best lol) then 4x1000, 400, 600. The first 1000 was 10 sec slow, idk what I was doing, but the other ones were right on or a couple seconds fast. This was such a hard workout for me, I was so tired. I need more sleep, that's for sure. But I prevailed & it felt really good to be done. Finished up with some striders and cool down on the track.

I went to old mans to do this workout. Went around 10ish. The workout was 5x1 min + 1x85 sec. felt just mentally exhausted during it, but it was good to be out in the sun, it felt so good. Worked on form th last one especially, I used to have really good form but throughout the years it's kind of deteriorated. Bleh

Also I'm stoked because tomorrow me & brianna are driving up to Orem to go to a concert please care

PINE VIEW INVITE WOOO BEST MEET OF THE YEAR !! I did the 400 & did just okay. I felt stronger towards the end than I usually am able to so positive. BUT GUESS WHAT EVERYONE! I LONG JUMPED!!!!!! And so first I got a scratch cause too far over the line then I got 11'6" which is not farther than 12' so they wouldn't record it BUT THEN I got 12'5"!!!!!!! They marked it it was my best experience I was absolutely ecstatic you guys. Also today was the best day I love pv invite I love pv I love track I love life yay yay yay

I did the 800 & I never looked at my time lol (so I just put something cause it made me) but I was really tired and it wasn't my best I'm sure but I pushed myself pretty good so that's good. My training just isn't there right now but it will be. But today was just a continuation of the great day of yesterday except it was raining and cold but that's okay. Last pine view invite of my career and it was absolutely wonderful. After I went to durangos with all my frenz then I watched Robin Hood with colton & that's like my second favorite movie so three cheers for today

PM- RACE there was a bit of a problem concerning us not having a bus then the meet actually getting cancelled but eventually it was rescheduled to dhells!!!!! I was SO HAPPY when it got rescheduled cause I wanted to race so bad. My events today were the long jump, 300 hurdles, & 3200. I've never ever done the hurdles or the 3200 in all my years so I really wanted to. The long jump was fine, I scratched my best jump which was depressing. Then the 300 hurdles came along & I was really scared & laughed through the whole thing because I have ZERO form lol but it was a lot of fun. Then the 3200 & THERE WAS NO GIRLS I told everyone around me that I was not running it several times but then apparently I ended up on the track running it, shocker. There was 3 boys & I was able to immediately pass one of them then I sat on the shoulder of the second one for the majority of the race and he matched EVERY SINGLE ONE of my surges. It was so irritating honestly. He ended up beating me along with another boy but I was satisfied. I can now live my life saying I ran the 3200. 100% grand meet. Also s/o to my team for waiting for me to race & cheering SO LOUD lol I love you guys so much

Desert hells day 2 it was rainy when we got there but cleared up nicely before my race. I was in the second heat 800 & I was seeded last in my heat. I warmed up a bit and tried to stay warm while I watched josie, colton, logan & alex kill their 800s so s/o to them. Then we got on the track & lucky me I was the only one in the farthest alley  so fielding let me go to the waterfall & start with them. I got out good &  felt really strong. The first lap just zoomed by & when I hit the 400 I just kept thinking "only a 400 to go" which was an incredibly uplifting thought & helped me a lot. I ended third in my heat I'm pretty sure. Then cool down with brianna up the mountain behind the school. Desert hills is always a meet I perform well at I dunno why. Good weekend

First morning long run in a long time. because I'm racing tomorrow I just had 55 + strides so when the girls started their tempo it was just me Carli & jenessa. We ran up to the maverik by the freeway onramp. I felt extremely good on this run & worked on my form a bit but really it was just a lot of fun. I always feel so good in the mornings.

Lie on your back, and have someone push your leg upward, as far as it will go. It's hard to explain, it's like first your legs are ___, but then they're /__, or I__, or even \__ if you're super flexible. Have the person keep pushing until you feel a DEEP stretch, but not pain. Send me a carrier pigeon or something if you need other stretches or further instruction bc hamstrings are very important

TIGER TRIALS YAYAY!!! Got there and chilled for a while. I was in the 4th flight of the long jump & when it was time me and brianna went over & warmed up and stuff. I ended up PRing by 3" which was SO happy!!! I got 14'7" I'm so pleased with my long jumping so far, I wish I would've done it all my years so much. Then for the 400 me and brianna were in the same heat (yay). As promised I started on blocks but they didn't even let me practice NOT ONCE before they started the race so I just did my best, they still felt really good and easy though. I was in lane one and I got out good and felt good and I just tried to stay conservative for the first 200 then in the last 200 I passed everyone except brianna, she got me by .3 or something like that. One of my best feeling 400s ever because I actually had a kick. I was so pleased. GOOD, no, GREAT MEET(:(:

HERRMIANN!!!!!!! i had 4 events today, long jump, 4x100, 800, & throwers 4x100 (lol) first we went & did the 4x100, our handoffs weren't perfect but they all came off clean so it was good. Then I went and long jumped, it was ight. My farthest jump was 13'7" which was kind of irritating but it's okay. In the 800 I was seeded 6th but the fastest girl in my heat was only 2 seconds faster than me, so I took it out strong to begin with and NO ONE else came up so I continued to lead but slowed the pace a little  and came in the 400 at 1:18, I felt really good and started to pick it up and create a gap. I felt really strong through the whole rest of the lap & finished good. I never looked at the results so my time is just what dallen had me at. The throwers 4x100 was hilarious, it's basically a 4x100 where instead of a baton you use a Twinkie and only people that do field events are allowed to do it but it was our same 4x100 team that ran earlier so it was nice. We finished running first but brianna couldn't eat the Twinkie fast enough so we actually finished last hahahahahah. Quality meet, much love

6x200, I'll never understand why it's so important to do a cool down/recovery jog between reps in distance running but not in sprinter workouts. Anyway, janz said at the beginning if we stop hitting our times we have to quit & after rep #3 I had hit 3 sec slower but when she told me that I really focused on making them quick and getting my form & I was hitting much better times. Good workout for sure.

We had the senior scholarship banquet tonight & me and dallen were awarded the National Scholar/Athlete Award from the army reserve!!! Yay me & dallen!!

Welp. This was it, my last high school race. It was our 4x100 & I'm happy with it. We took 7th & it was a nice effort from everyone. Don't know my split.

Not quite sure how I'm feeling right now. I went into this season with the goal of having fun. I chose to not put expectations on myself, expectations definitely formed, but it was in a much more positive way than before. I learned to laugh mostly everything off whereas last year I would've cried and I learned to be pleased with myself for trying my hardest, even if the time/place/jump wasn't where I wanted. I know I've grown more as a person this season than I did the three previous seasons combined, and for that I'm really proud and happy. 

At the beginning of the season, I wasn't sure if I was going to run track. I hadn't enjoyed running in so long, it was a chore. I am forever grateful that I did participate this year. I am so #blessed to be able to say that I have no regrets regarding track and also that I achieved my goal of having fun.

Obviously I would've loved to be running at state next weekend, but I can't say I'm disappointed in the season. I learned a new hobby, made lots more friends, & found joy in running, working hard, & going to practice. Because of this season, I'll remember track & field as a happy experience & something I'll miss. I'm actually tearing up writing this, senior year is a bittersweet time.

Special shoutout to all the friends I've made on & off my own team and especially the blog family for being my #1s, to my parents for supporting me and loving me through everything, & especially to Roberts for believing in me, caring about me, & talking to me about whether I was happy or not. I am 100%, absolutely, & without a doubt  blessed with the best.

FIRST DAY OF CLASSES!!! I've been adding a block to my loop every time I go run. I felt good today & like the last block and a half I picked up the pace. Ephraim mornings are nice, almost cold. Definitely different. Also there were sooo many people out today. Also I think a dog lives downstairs & one apartment over from us and I think I will go meet it

At 9:30 I had human development woot woot!!! It was fun I did not make friends though. I met a girl but I don't think we'll be friends. Then I went home & had to go to Walmart & spent a literal 20 minutes wandering aimlessly because I couldn't find the plastic wrap. I had English at 1:30 & my English teachers name is English! Ha! And he has a neck beard so it almost felt like I was back in AP lit. And now me & my roommates are having a pizza party & game night with my friends I met yesterday named kaiden & kameron!! I love those friends! They make fun of me in the same ways all my high school friends did it makes me laugh

First jogging class!!!! There's like 4 other girls that ran in hs in my class so that's gonna be sick!!! Anyway we ran 2 laps warm up then he told us to run 10 laps but he stopped us at 8 because there was so many different levels that there were still people on lap 4 when we were on 8. It's gonna be a fun class though I'm way excited!!!!!

JOGGING CLASS DAY 2! YAY! I haven't been getting nearly the sleep I should (cause I've been way too busy having fun, duh) so after my 8 o'clock class I ditched institute to take a much needed nap. Jogging is at 11 & the workout was just 2 miles. There was 5 of us running together for the majority of the time just around the cement track (lol) then when we finished Kamryn asked if we wanted to run some extra so 4 of us went out & did a lap around campus but the other 2 turned early. I could tell me & Kam were both just trying to see who would give in first & say let's cut through & go back to campus. That excites me because I know she's gonna push me hard this year because she wants to improve. After we got back she said "hey wanna do like 5 min of core with me?" & I was like holy crap yeah I guess. So we did core in the shade & I about died, I came back & just laid on the couch because that's more physical excerise ive done in forever. We're running tomorrow morning together too. I'm super excited about this girl we're gonna be friends

Ran with Kamryn at 7!! Super fun good run, it's nice to run with people again & we ran a solid pace & new route & were both pretty tired by the end. Monday/Wednesday/Friday schedules are my absolute favorite. I'm really looking forward to human development AND English this year. I read a really interesting article for English today about marking up your books. It's from the 1940s but gave me a new perspective on reading in general. It's been such a very good day & it's not even over yet!!! Volleyball tonight if anyone wants to come (jk you're all in st.g, see ya Friday)

Us 5 started on the track but after 2 laps we (except for Emily) decided to go up this dirt road that leads to an elk farm. I've driven on it a couple times with my friend kameron but only in the dark so I've never seen the elk. After like a mile into it we lost jaycie & savanna so just me & Kamryn were together & at 2 we turned around & headed back then did some laps on the track & strides. then I went to public speaking & got put in a group with 4 new people!!! Yay for friends!!!! Tonight has promise for lots of fun too!!!!! Yay for college!!!!!

Super fun run with Kamryn. She had class at 8:30 but had a break at 11:30 & I didn't have any til 1:30 so we ran at 11:40. It was sort of warm but the weather up here is BEAUTIFUL especially compared to st.g. I was really dreading getting out cause I was way tired but when we started running I felt SO GOOD. Today for class we just had to run 2 miles & get a better time than last time. From the beginning me & Kamryn separated from the other girls & just kept a solid pace. We averaged 8 min which is good cause we didn't want to get too fast so we can't improve further because that's what we're graded on. We got 16:34 or something then did a couple laps cool down & some core. Turns out we like the same music mostly so that was fun. After I had to write a 1 page essay but I went to go get free ice cream instead, so I did it in 10 min. It was actually incredibly impressive of me. No more procrastinating like that. Then me, sammi, Rylie, amanda, kameron & jakobi went & played softball & it was sooo fun.

Jogging!!!!! 2 laps warm up. We had 12 minutes & see how far you can make it today. I wanted to get seven laps so I had to go decently fast (faster than I've ran in a long time). I ended up leaving Kamryn because she fell off so I ran by myself. I ended with 7 & a fourth of a lap. I was very happy with myself. Then we did 2 laps cool down. Anyway, needless to say I slept through my first 2 classes so running was the first class I went to. It was raining & our teacher made us run around the blue gym for 2 miles hahahah it was 24 laps, too good right? It wasn't that bad. Me Kamryn & jaycie ran together which was a good time. They're good people. Then we went in the weight room & pumped the iron for a while. In other news I ate an entire quart & a half of ice cream yesterday, which is wildly impressive & upsetting. That's all.

AM- me & kamryn hit the weight room & did some nice work in there.

PM- We drove to manti & ran some trails. It was so rough, there's CRAZYYY trails out there & we were going straight up & down hills & stuff. We were both dying hahahah also I ate soup & cookie dough literally right before I ran & it just felt heavy in my stomach hahahah sucks. But it was still super awesome. On our way back there was ALLLL these cop cars with their lights on like a little ways off the road & we were curious so we went & tracked them, it was so weird we couldn't figure out what was going on. Then we went into the weight room & did arms today, which was hard. 6 miles. Me & kamryn had this genius idea that we were gonna run out on this 8 mile dirt loop for 6 miles then I said morgan could come pick us up. It was gradual uphill like the first 3 miles then gradual downhill the last three which was actually way nice. It felt good. When we got to 6 miles I realized we were a lot farther than I had anticipated & I didn't know if morgan would be able to find us, so we started to walk back on the trail & i honestly thought we were gonna die. It was freezing & morgan was nowhere in sight hahahah. Finally after walking back about 2 miles we saw her car which was a HUGE breath of relief. We both started running & laughing towards her cause we were so scared hahahahah. Wild. Then me & morgan went to the boys soccer game (they won) then we accidentally took a 4 hour nap on the couches since we're home alone this weekend, so that kind of threw lifting out the window, but it was a MUCH needed nap lol now ready to party it up this Saturday night hehe

Running class, the teacher showed up hahah! We ran 15 laps then went into the weight room. I felt good when we were running (except a slight stomach pain I'm attributing to the giant cinnamon roll I ate before class) but when we got in the weight room I was a bit lightheaded & my stomach hurt a lot more. I just was more careful but still did all the weights & core. My friend diagnosed me with low electrolytes, so I'll drink some Gatorade & whatnot & hope for the best.

Day 1 of trying to run every day heh. I went out on a trail but did it backwards to the way I usually do it, since it's an 8 mile loop I was able to do a completely different section of it than I usually do. The way out was relatively hard, the way back was easier. I just thought about life & also contemplated what my first move would be if I were to get hit by a car. It was an interesting self-discussion. Also I dreaded my purple hair. So I now have purple dreads. I am so pleased with them.

Coach wanted us to run a mile then beat our time on our second mile (almost like mile repeats but wayyyy less intense) the only requirement was we had to beat our time, so we took the first mile nice & slow. Coach didn't show hahahaaaa so everyone left but me & kam decided we'd do a workout. We both did 15 minute warm ups before workouts in hs so we were like "yeah let's go 15 min" which lollll because that's like as much as we run regularly hahahah so by the end of the warm up we were already kinda tired. Nevertheless, we did 4x400s. We said we'd go for 1:30 & work our way down from there. Our first one was a 1:32, then 1:26 (I led this one) then another 1:26 (she led) then a 1:28. We were both pretty beat by the end. I never thought I'd see the day when 4x400s would take me down hahahah yikes then 2 laps cool down

i went to the gym to lift & when I was leaving I was debating running on the treadmill but I went in there & there was someone else in there & I panicked & left so I was like, well guess I won't run today. But on my way back home it was snowing & then I got home & it started snowing harder & I decided I definitely wanted to run in the snow. I did a loop around campus then added on a little because it wasn't very far. Ending with 3 miles. I got a lot of comments like "are you crazy or committed" by passerby which was kind of fun. & I ran into my good friend kaiden which was cute. It's runs like these that make me love running

Today he said we were going to do 1 min slow jog 2 minutes all out for 15 total minutes. But when we started he got a phone call so we slow jogged for like 5 minutes while he talked. Then we did super irregular intervals for about 20 minutes. Then me, kam & savanna went & did core with this girl named Rachel. Now I'm about to head to the gym to do upper body. I wanted to go 4 today & my roommate had been talking about this old cemetery that's just north of Ephraim. So I googled it & it was exactly 2 miles from my apartment to there, can you believe it!! So I got out, but I had actually mapped it wrong. The way it had taken me is a blocked off/overgrown dirt road now, so I went the long way, not knowing it was the long way, & got there & realized I had ran 3 miles out instead of 2-typically not a problem I have. So I just headed back & ended up running 6. It was hard seeing as I haven't ran that far in a while, but im definitely glad because it made me realize I still can run somewhat far hahah. & now all my roommates are gone for the night & Im reading in the living room without interruption, this is the life let me tell ya.

UPDATE: someone just tried to force enter my home & I didn't open the door but I don't know who it was because none of my roommates are supposed to be back until late tonight so now I'm not so sure about the whole home alone thing

iíve had neighbors have parties that people OD at here in Alabama and seen friends of friends get put in jail, in Texas my neighbor was shot to death for trying to pick up a hitchhiker, and when i lived in Arkansas our next door neighbor would shoot our dog with a pellet gun for fun, constantly stole our things, and we got to the point where we had to move bc we were afraid heíd do something to 2 yr old me and infant Emma. but nowhere, NOWHERE, iíve ever lived has been as sketchy as Utah.

Last night I was supposed to be studying but somehow I ended up going back & reading all my old blog posts from like sophomore & junior year. It kinda made me sad because I actually enjoyed running then, like I forgot how much I loved it sophomore year because I've been kind of blinded by the louseyness of senior season. But it also made me really happy & motivated to get to that point again! So that was my motivation for today's run.

After studying all morning, I got out at about 2. planned for 4 miles. Due to lack of places to run in good ol Ephraim I went to the trail past the church that kameron showed me way back at the beginning of school. When I was almost to 2 miles I came to a turn off & decided to take it, since I never have before. It led up a hill & across the top then back down the other side, so I just kept following it. It was actually an immensely fun trail. I figured if it started going out too far I'd just cut back to the original trail. It started to wind back to the church but I ended up at someone's farm hahahah so I had to run across their property which was scary. I thought I was gonna get shot. ALSO I found the CUTEST little canal that was completely frozen over!! Cool!!  I wanna go ice skating. 

OH another thing to report. For the past 3ish weeks I've been eating only plant based foods in an effort to have more energy throughout the day. I think it really has helped me to have more energy & feel more healthy. I'm taking a break over Christmas so I can eat chocolate & stuff, but I'm not sure if I'll continue after Christmas. I'll keep you guys posted.

It was definitely a challenge, but I found it to be worth it. I don't know how big the town you're living in is, but ephraims walmart did not carry a whole lot of vegan products, so I had to get kind of creative. I ended up mostly eating protein shakes, peanut butter & jelly sandwiches & salads. I would recommend trying it out for a little while to see how you feel, but I definitely felt healthier through my days & was more willing/excited to get out & run, lift, whatever.

BACK IN STG!!!!

AM- woke up and ate 2 cookies for breakfast then drove to turkey farm road. On the way I kinda busted my car but idk how. So I ran 5 then came back & called my dad, he said it was fine just get it back home. Then I got to drive his truck for the rest of the day. Also me & Jacob went bowling after & that was fun. He beat me so that was a rare occurrence.

PM- brianna convinced me to go run while they did their track workout, so I ran laps while they sprinted. Then after we went & got smoothies with lord macen. Stellar stellar day

AM- 4 from the hs to the light past Starbucks & back. Avg 8:08 pace which means I'm getting fitness back!!! S/o to life cause ya know it's pretty darn good

PM- 3 with the sprinting crew again. It was tough actually not gonna lie. My legs were pretty tired. but nevertheless it was super fun to talk to them after practice & just hang. They're fun people. I think tomorrow I'm gonna run in the morning then lift later in the day, but I'm not sure yet

Last night I didn't get to bed til like 5 cause I was with some friends, so when I woke up I had very little motivation to get out. But I took yesterday as a rest day so I knew I needed to. I decided to run out & see what they've done to the desert around mustang pass, but there was construction going on as of current so I turned around & ran the other way down green spring dr. Just a nice & easy 3. That was the best I could do today. I felt pretty good even up the hills & everything. And now we're going ice skating yayay!!!!!!

4 miles. My dog wanted to go with me so I took her out to the desert. she did well even though she's pretty old. It was a fun run. I've been doing A LOT of thinking about college next year. And I still don't know what to do hahah

Also I'm ready for all my friends down here to get out of school so we can hang out

I'm debating transferring to USU a year earlier than planned, or possibly going somewhere else for the year then going to logan. Though, as of right now, these are just thoughts in my head so who the heck knows

I woke up & did some lower body calisthenics & core. The lifts I did really work your hips & quads, so to get them loose again I decided I'd go for a short run after. My sister, me, & my dog all went out the same out & back we did yesterday. Jessica was going 5, so when I turned around gabbie had some separation issues, but we got it all sorted out. Jess runs at a faster pace than me typically but running with her makes me realize that I can run at that pace just as easily (especially for only 3 miles). Today's been a great day already & it's only 1 o'clock.

The goal today was to quicken the pace. I ran to quail ridge & down it then up past the chevron & up green spring dr to my home. It was actually really tough for me. My legs are pretty sore from the exercises I did yesterday. The first about 3 miles I averaged about 8 min pace but the hill & the last mile altogether wasn't as good. This might not have been a step forward, but i did get out & run so whatever direction this step was, it wasn't backwards. Core afterwards. Then went & got water with josie & bayless! I love those 2

I went over the the rec center to lift with my mom & brother. Just upper body & abs. Then I ran 2 miles on the treadmill, just so I got in a run today. I was wearing my gym nikes rather than running shoes so I cannot track that mileage because there is not a shoe on here for them! Anyway, treadmill miles aren't as fun as I imagined them to be. It kinda sucked hahahahah but I didn't want to run outside because it was cold. Great day!!!!!

Annual Christmas Eve light run!!!that I've never actually participated in before!!!! Me, my mom, & sister woke up before the sun & ran from tropical smoothie, down the boulevard (my favorite road on earth), down main then to the temple & back to our car. We weaved back from the temple up a road then over a road & it made it go by really fast! The lights were lovely. It was a very fun run & im really really glad it happened!!!!! Now it's Christmas Eve & it's time for cookie making & pajama opening & light looking & grinch watching, the most wonderful day of the year!

A very nice Christmas morning run. Always the best because nooooo one is out. Me & Jess did a loop around our neighborhoods. She is so quick. Nice lovely run & Christmas is the best. I love my family!!!!! Cedar today, Hawaii tomorrow. Can't tell you which one I'm more excited for (that isn't even sarcasm, I love seeing the fam in cedar).

2 in BEAUTIFUL Hawaii. We woke up early (except we're 3 hrs behind us so it didn't feel early) & me, jessica, & my mom ran. I was dying cause I haven't ran in a few days hahaha & we were going quick. Then we went to the north shore & the waves were absolutely MASSIVE. It was a workout in & of itself. A wonderful time, truthfully. I love it here in Oahu.
