| | I haven't been to jogging class in a while. Coach was 10 minutes late to class. Honestly, that class is such a joke. Today he said we were going to do 1 min slow jog 2 minutes all out for 15 total minutes. But when we started he got a phone call so we slow jogged for like 5 minutes while he talked. Then we did super irregular intervals for about 20 minutes. Then me, kam & savanna went & did core with this girl named Rachel. Now I'm about to head to the gym to do upper body. I'm very very excited for this semester to end so I can go home & see my family again

| | I wanted to go 4 today & my roommate had been talking about this old cemetery that's just north of Ephraim. So I googled it & it was exactly 2 miles from my apartment to there, can you believe it!! So I got out, but I had actually mapped it wrong. The way it had taken me is a blocked off/overgrown dirt road now, so I went the long way, not knowing it was the long way, & got there & realized I had ran 3 miles out instead of 2-typically not a problem I have. So I just headed back & ended up running 6. It was hard seeing as I haven't ran that far in a while, but im definitely glad because it made me realize I still can run somewhat far hahah. & now all my roommates are gone for the night & Im reading in the living room without interruption, this is the life let me tell ya.
UPDATE: someone just tried to force enter my home & I didn't open the door but I don't know who it was because none of my roommates are supposed to be back until late tonight so now I'm not so sure about the whole home alone thing

| | Last night I was supposed to be studying but somehow I ended up going back & reading all my old blog posts from like sophomore & junior year. It kinda made me sad because I actually enjoyed running then, like I forgot how much I loved it sophomore year because I've been kind of blinded by the louseyness of senior season. But it also made me really happy & motivated to get to that point again! So that was my motivation for today's run.
After studying all morning, I got out at about 2. planned for 4 miles. Due to lack of places to run in good ol Ephraim I went to the trail past the church that kameron showed me way back at the beginning of school. When I was almost to 2 miles I came to a turn off & decided to take it, since I never have before. It led up a hill & across the top then back down the other side, so I just kept following it. It was actually an immensely fun trail. I figured if it started going out too far I'd just cut back to the original trail. It started to wind back to the church but I ended up at someone's farm hahahah so I had to run across their property which was scary. I thought I was gonna get shot. ALSO I found the CUTEST little canal that was completely frozen over!! Cool!! I wanna go ice skating.
OH another thing to report. For the past 3ish weeks I've been eating only plant based foods in an effort to have more energy throughout the day. I think it really has helped me to have more energy & feel more healthy. I'm taking a break over Christmas so I can eat chocolate & stuff, but I'm not sure if I'll continue after Christmas. I'll keep you guys posted.

| | BACK IN STG!!!!
AM- woke up and ate 2 cookies for breakfast then drove to turkey farm road. On the way I kinda busted my car but idk how. So I ran 5 then came back & called my dad, he said it was fine just get it back home. Then I got to drive his truck for the rest of the day. Also me & Jacob went bowling after & that was fun. He beat me so that was a rare occurrence.
PM- brianna convinced me to go run while they did their track workout, so I ran laps while they sprinted. Then after we went & got smoothies with lord macen. Stellar stellar day

| | AM- 4 from the hs to the light past Starbucks & back. Avg 8:08 pace which means I'm getting fitness back!!! S/o to life cause ya know it's pretty darn good
PM- 3 with the sprinting crew again. It was tough actually not gonna lie. My legs were pretty tired. but nevertheless it was super fun to talk to them after practice & just hang. They're fun people. I think tomorrow I'm gonna run in the morning then lift later in the day, but I'm not sure yet

| | Last night I didn't get to bed til like 5 cause I was with some friends, so when I woke up I had very little motivation to get out. But I took yesterday as a rest day so I knew I needed to. I decided to run out & see what they've done to the desert around mustang pass, but there was construction going on as of current so I turned around & ran the other way down green spring dr. Just a nice & easy 3. That was the best I could do today. I felt pretty good even up the hills & everything. And now we're going ice skating yayay!!!!!!

| | 4 miles. My dog wanted to go with me so I took her out to the desert. she did well even though she's pretty old. It was a fun run. I've been doing A LOT of thinking about college next year. And I still don't know what to do hahah
Also I'm ready for all my friends down here to get out of school so we can hang out

| | I woke up & did some lower body calisthenics & core. The lifts I did really work your hips & quads, so to get them loose again I decided I'd go for a short run after. My sister, me, & my dog all went out the same out & back we did yesterday. Jessica was going 5, so when I turned around gabbie had some separation issues, but we got it all sorted out. Jess runs at a faster pace than me typically but running with her makes me realize that I can run at that pace just as easily (especially for only 3 miles). Today's been a great day already & it's only 1 o'clock.

| | The goal today was to quicken the pace. I ran to quail ridge & down it then up past the chevron & up green spring dr to my home. It was actually really tough for me. My legs are pretty sore from the exercises I did yesterday. The first about 3 miles I averaged about 8 min pace but the hill & the last mile altogether wasn't as good. This might not have been a step forward, but i did get out & run so whatever direction this step was, it wasn't backwards. Core afterwards. Then went & got water with josie & bayless! I love those 2

| | I went over the the rec center to lift with my mom & brother. Just upper body & abs. Then I ran 2 miles on the treadmill, just so I got in a run today. I was wearing my gym nikes rather than running shoes so I cannot track that mileage because there is not a shoe on here for them! Anyway, treadmill miles aren't as fun as I imagined them to be. It kinda sucked hahahahah but I didn't want to run outside because it was cold. Great day!!!!!

| | Annual Christmas Eve light run!!!that I've never actually participated in before!!!! Me, my mom, & sister woke up before the sun & ran from tropical smoothie, down the boulevard (my favorite road on earth), down main then to the temple & back to our car. We weaved back from the temple up a road then over a road & it made it go by really fast! The lights were lovely. It was a very fun run & im really really glad it happened!!!!! Now it's Christmas Eve & it's time for cookie making & pajama opening & light looking & grinch watching, the most wonderful day of the year!

| | A very nice Christmas morning run. Always the best because nooooo one is out. Me & Jess did a loop around our neighborhoods. She is so quick. Nice lovely run & Christmas is the best. I love my family!!!!! Cedar today, Hawaii tomorrow. Can't tell you which one I'm more excited for (that isn't even sarcasm, I love seeing the fam in cedar).

| | 2 in BEAUTIFUL Hawaii. We woke up early (except we're 3 hrs behind us so it didn't feel early) & me, jessica, & my mom ran. I was dying cause I haven't ran in a few days hahaha & we were going quick. Then we went to the north shore & the waves were absolutely MASSIVE. It was a workout in & of itself. A wonderful time, truthfully. I love it here in Oahu.
