went out and ran 6 slow easy miles. legs and hip flexors are sore. also calf is sore. I think I will take the rest of the week off.

6 might have been too much, but if you could run that far at all, you'll probably benefit from easy 2-3 miles a day on soft surface while you are recovering.
No reason to go out and mess anything up. I seriously think it would be good to get a message and of course keep on stretching.
I have a message scheduled for Wed. I'm hoping to get this tighness out of my hips and calves.
I was able to get out this morning and do an easy 3.
