Good morning for a run.   I dedicated this run for those brave souls running in Boston.   Changed my route a little.   Ran 8 miles.    Heal still bothering me.   Takes a est (no garmin) mile to warm up to feel comfortable.  (Glycerin )

10 more non garmin  miles tonight.  It was a fierce battle running against the wind.   no rain.    felt ok after a mile warm up and heal calmed down.   (soucany grid)4

I did not make it to speed work with Steve.   So I hit the treadmill.  I Ran over to the recreation center.  Warmed up one mile on the treadmill.  My 1st mile I felt a little tight.  5:49, 2. 5:40 3. 5:39 4 5:35.  I ran a slow quarter between miles for recovery.  Ran one-mile recovery. Then  I pushed it  to 6:40 pace and brought up the incline to 5. for ΒΌ mile intervals.   Around mile 8 the treadmill gave up the ghost.  (The thing Just died on me. )  So a picked a new victim and ran two more miles.   (Asics speed stars) I am thinking if i can hold this kind of pace on repeats. there should be no reason that i could not run at least 37-36 min ten k.  I think I may just have a mental problem?

Speed with Angela.  Spinning was fun.  However i am hashed.  I felt  very tired the whole work out.  legs feel like they want to fall off.  It was a good gut check this morning.  I was feeling prety tired and my nose was running and the wind was blowing and it was cold.  I decided to only run 6 miles tonight.   (Glycerin )

Today I was able to run with a living legend.   Dave Holt!  He has thunder in his chest and lightning in his veins.   Steve and I were able to hold on to the end. We ran for 6 garmin miles.  Feeling a little tired.    Decided to run 7 more after the work out.  Feeling a little more tired.    Looking forward to the 10 k this weekend.  I did not run with my normal music tonight.  It is interesting what tender thoughts go through my mind when there is not much noise in my ears.  (soucany grid)4

Ran the southwest credit union 10k. I started out a little fast. I surged to the front of the pack and stayed there for about a mile. Then Steve Hooper and Steve Olsen paced me the rest of the way. Felt pretty good the whole way. I feel i could of picked up the pace a little more around mile 4. At the end I gave a rebel yell at the boys to move it. they sprinted to the end. Steve Hooper got 1st place. I ended up getting 4th over all. I feel good about this because i did not taper for the race.
