Temps this morning were 20 degrees and with the wind blowing it was 12 degrees.  I got attacked by a pitbull this morning that tried biting my ankle, but I managed to kick him away and the dog slipped and fall on the ice on my first escape attempt.  This gave me a few seconds to split out of the sub-division on Sawtooth Rd.  But he quickly caught up to me trying to bite my bum and calf's.  I was scared so I decided to stop (hoping he wouldn't jump at me) and turn around and I gave him a big kick, and it caused the dog to stumble on the road.  I took off again and this time he stopped chasing me, and went back to wherever.  He did nip me but it left no open wound or bite mark I could see.

Ran 10.31 miles at an overall 7:01 pace in 1:12:28.  My work canceled our football Turkey Bowl game outside today against our Networking Department (second annual one), because everyone on both teams had too many people sick and we couldn't field a team because of it.  I'm not sick and I'm kind of glad not to play because of the weather.

 Evening:

Ran a couple strides tonight for the fun of it.

Ran 12.31 miles at an overall 6:59 pace in 1:25.  I did the last 4 at (5:56, 5:42, 5:45) cool-down 6:36.   Have to work tonight at 11pm and won't have to work tomorrow because of the late night maintenance on our systems tonight.

To go with that I have a swollen lymph node in my neck and a bump on my shoulder that's the size of a golf ball that's infected, and a spider bite on my ear that's infected which my wife drained out the puss last night.  That actually looks better now.   I also woke up with a mild sour throat and a stuffy nose, but that has gotten better through-out the day.  I'm going to try to get into the doctor.

Ran 6.5 on the treadmill this morning.  I didn't have time to run anymore today.  I worked till 3am in the morning then got up at 9am and ran the 6.5 miles and then went to my doctor's appointment at 10am.

This appointment was to look at my infection on my shoulder and my Lymph node.  He was worry about the lump on the shoulder because of the size.  I'll  be taking the antibiotic Doxycycline Hyclate (100mg) twice a day.  If that doesn't bring the infection down then they will cut into it for analysis.  I'm not worried, because this is a strong Antibiotic.

Good race tough course... Mostly uphill.

Mile 1; (6:09 mostly uphill and was in 4th)

Mile 2: (6:08 Again Mostly uphill flat tied for second place).

Mile 3: (5:20 Downhill for first .3 and then flat for .7  was in first but got legged out by a High school track runner and finished in second by one second).

Not a bad race... not feeling the best, lack of sleep and on an antibiotic.

Ran another 12.30 miles after the race at a 6:58 pace in 1:25:42.

No Running.. Shopping at 3am for Black Friday sales.  I needed a day-off anyway.   I did run a couple 100 meters sprints though with my Son.  I'll count that.

It was such a beautiful day that I wanted to run long.  I didn't have to be anywhere.  No time constraints like it is with every run I do it seems lately.  I just ran to be free and enjoy the weather at a sunny 32 degrees.  I ran tons of hills on the Satterfield, Fairfield and Olympus roads.    I slept in till 8am and started the run at almost 9am, because I was watching cartoons with my son.

I ran 20.21 miles at an overall easy 7:15 pace in 2:26:26.  First 20 miler since my September marathon.  Now eat, shop, and maybe play some Call Of Duty on my Xbox 360 ....

Evening

Ran 200 meters to loosen the legs up after the long run today.  I think its important just like stretching.
