11.31 miles at an overall 7:03 pace in 1:19.  Very cold my face froze.  I wore tights for the first time this year.   The temperature was 30 degrees with the wind chill it was 24 degrees.  Did one mile at (6:12).

Still home with my daughter but I have interview resume to look over for a position were going to higher at work and I'm on the interview team so that will keep me busy.  I've really enjoyed the time with my daughter.  We've gotten even more closer than we really were.

Run down Pocatello Creek Rd. to my house with Barry for 10.32 miles in 1:08. I really didn't push the miles even though I averaged 6:36 for the run.  Felt easy and comfortable even after going to bed after 1am last night.  I was a little sore though from the hills yesterday.

Ran 10.21 miles at an overall 6:57 pace in 1:11 in a snow storm and miserable weather at 26 degrees.  I was soaked when I got home, and I remembered this feeling from last year.  My wife and I had a great devotion on God providing for you.  Well this morning he provided for me.

My daughter went back to school today, and will get around on the crutches fine I think.  Although, she woke us up at 3am because her leg was hurting, but that's normal it's going to hurt off and on.  This been now about 10 days since breaking her Tibia.

We finally finished the final phase last night of the switch over from our Mail Server to Google's Gmail server.  Everything went well.  It's nice to code in PHP again to do a lot of the work.  I got home around 1am when everything was switched over and working.

I was dead on my feet pretty much for the first 7 miles of this run.  I was tired and felt like an old man.  Of course I only got about 4 hours of sleep.  Did fast miles at end of run when I woke up (6:45, 6:49, 6:48,6:20,6:22)

Ran 12.10 miles at an overall 7:01 pace in 1:24:51 in  28 degree weather.  I focused on a hilly route this morning feeling I needed to get some uphill work done for my fitness level.  Had a great devotions this morning with my wife about not complaining what others do, but look within yourself what God wants you do to in your life.

Late night again working not a lot of sleep. Started out with the temperature being a warm 38 degrees. Ran 10.21 miles at an overall 6:56 pace in 1:10:55 mainly on a flat course. Felt really sluggish and tired for most of the run. I would have rather been in bed sleeping.  I had planned to run longer today, but being deprived from sleep I go up later.  Sometimes rest is part of fitness anyway.

Lots to do at work today.

Ran 100m stride in evening.

Enjoyed the day off with my family.  We went out and ate at a Chinese buffet.  My oldest daughter is tired of sitting around and was glad to go out and eat.  I worked on a laptop today as well and made extra money while watching football.

Sunday's is my day of decision if I want to run or not.  It depends if I feel like sleeping in or not.  This morning I slept till 9am so I didn't run.

Temperature this morning was 25 degrees. I stayed up late last night watching the Rockies and Phillies play (my team is already in the LA Dodgers) so I got up a little later than normal. I was 100% unmotivated to run, but I got out the door anyway.

It's funny! Once I get out the door and get past the first mile my whole countenance changes, and I can start focusing on the run. It's just getting out the door with not having a bad attitude about running that morning. What do you guys do when you feel this way about your attitude in the morning with running, do you go back to bed, or not do it that day, or go ahead and do it? We should have a poll on this.

Anyway, I ran 10.21 miles at an overall 6:47 pace in 1:09:15. Last two miles at (6:13, 6:18) any faster and I would have froze. Good run even on the lack of sleep.

I've got to retire my Brooks Axiom 2 shoes. I need to find another size 12.5 cheap like I did these ones. I like them for cushioning.

Got called in from work last night and worked till almost 1am. I was at my brother's house where I haven't been for a while (and he lives right down my block) and ate dinner for the first time in over a year. I had to leave and go to work from there. How depressing to miss out on some fun. I don't know how to have fun anymore.

I was dead tired after 4 hours of sleep. I ran 13.5 miles up the Satterfield hill loop at a 7:18 pace in 1:37:49. I finished the last 3 miles in the high 6ish range. The weather was 50 degrees and I was over dressed, but we had 25mph wind the whole time.

I do have some pain under my left foot right where the five toes intersect.  It hurts more so when I turn.  It's been there for a couple weeks.  I just think I need to get some cushioned shoes with lesser miles.

Last night was funny.  I was so tired I laid down on the floor in our bedroom at 9pm while my wife was watching TV and we were talking (I wanted to be in there with her because I've felt like I haven't seen my family lately with all the work).  About 10 minutes after that I was snoring and sound sleep.  My wife laid a blanket on me.  I eventually woke up at 11:20pm and got in bed.  I was so tired last night that everything hit me all at once and I crashed.  Deprived sleep has been a problem for me lately and it's surely affecting the running.

I was still really tired this morning even after all the sleep.  I ran 12.12 miles at an overall 7:04 pace in 1:25:31.  Very windy and a very hard 7 miles in the wind.  Ran up to Idaho State University and back home.

ISU meant the Governor's 6% budget cuts and there will not be anymore layoffs for this fiscal period.

My daughter was sick today so I'm staying home with her, and I actually woke up not feeling good and the bottom of my left foot is hurting (need heavier new shoes).  I decided to run but I had to be back by 7:40am so my wife could leave for work.  I ran 5.5 miles at an overall 6:33 pace in 36:02 minutes (6:16, 6:16, 6:17) flat course.  Then as soon as I got back I hopped on the treadmill and ran another 9.7 miles in 66 minutes.  Total 15.2 mile continuous run.

Sick no running and feel like crap.  Lymph nodes are swollen.  I have a cough, and a sore throat from the cough.  Hot and cold chills.  I went to the doctor yesterday to test for the flu, because they can stop it if you go within the first 24 hours.   But I tested negative and it's some other virus and there's nothing they can give me.  I'll have to fight it out.

What's sad is I was headed to close it an 80 mile week.

No running, but I'm feeling better just a little weak and dizzy still.  I probably could have ran today, but it wouldn't have benefited anything with my immune system still being knocked down.  Why run when you know your sick, because it can't benefit your fitness or help your training  it will only knock you a step back to being exhausted.

I want to feel 100% before I run again, so this stuff doesn't come back.

Finally was able to run today. Felt well enough from the sickness the last 4 days. I ran 10.2 miles at an overall easy pace of 7:09 in 1:12:55. Nothing special but it felt really easy. The breathing was still not quite there yet. I was plugged up a bit in the sinus area. It was 40 degrees. But it felt good to run after a 4 day layoff.

It's getting colder... it was 30 degrees but with the wind chill it was 25 degrees. I ran the Satterfield Hill Loop and did a couple more on the way back. I'm still congested from the four day sickness so I took the run real easy. Especially, going back down the hill my mile splits were not exciting for the last four miles (6:35, 6:04, 6:29,6:36). It's better to ease back in the runner and not kill my immune system.

Work is overwhelming right now so I need to get off here.

Home  with my son who's sick.  He has the same symptoms I had.   Right now he's on the wonderful cover-up medicine Tylenol and his fever is down probably only for a few hours.  We all know this routine.  There's no since taking him to the children's clinic because they won't do anything unless he test positive for the flu.  My daugher's didn't test positive and I didn't either so they did nothing.  My wife will switch me at 1pm and I will got to work.  I have so much to do at work.

I got up somewhat earlier so that I could be  back by 7:40 so that my wife could leave for work and I could stay at home till 1pm.  I ran 7.30 miles at an overall 7:02 pace in 51:18.  I sort of felt flat today for some reason, but I don't care.  You have days like this and rebound.  Then I came home and ran 3.22 miles on the treadmill.  1 mile at 6:30 and a half mile at 6 minute pace.

Barry and I drove up to Mink Creek to run the Half Marathon race course that w may run on November 7th.  Both of us were still feeling the side effects of being sick all week.  We both still had a cough, and are legs just are not there yet.

We decided to run 10 miles of the HM course.  The wind was horrible blowing over 20mph and it made the run difficult.  We talked for the first three miles then Barry fell back and I kept going.  At mile 5 the wind really picked up and was right in my face.  I did push the pace I just ran whatever I felt I could.

I ran an extra mile waiting for Barry to come in.  Total 11.21 at an overall 6:53 pace in 1:17:14.  After we got done and was driving back up to Mink Creek to get Barry's car.  We were both hacking/coughing for about 10 minutes taking turns.  Sickness can sure wipe your training out.

Really thinking that I won't run the Half Marathon on November 7th and just call it quits for racing the rest of the year.

Run with Barry today down Pocatello Creek Rd. to my house.  Great conversation and he did great coming back from being sick.  I was worried about him last week, but we did great.  Temperature was warm at 39 degrees.  I felt toasty running.  I felt Barry on the last 1.5 of the run just to speed up.
