Long-Term Running Goals:

Worship the Lord and praying early in the mornibgs and keep doing that. Staying humble and desperate for the Lord and praying for end-time revival for America.

My Long Term goal is to just run whatever I can.

Hebrews 4:16 So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.

Ran with Barry who hurt worse on his sciatic nerve than ever before.  We did 6.08 miles at an overall 8:47 pace 53:22 minutes.    Barry's going to take time off and I'm glad to see it.  

Than I did .2 to the gas station (later).

Ran by myself today with my daughter's Ipod  (in honor of Steve Jobs).  I wanted a longer run to that I can get some Half Marathon endurance in me.  It's been sometime since my last longer run... well two weeks ago.

I did 11.11 miles at an overall 7:21 pace in 1:21:36.  Very hilly course going up Tuscany Rd than down Hospital way and around Davis Field.

Ran by myself again...(that sounds funny).  Anyway putting the dull humor aside.  I ran 10.23 miles at a 7:30 pace in 1:16 up Satterfield and back down Bench Rd.  I've been trying to do hills to get used to the HM in November.  Of course with still recovering I still have some pain in the leg especially on the downhills.   But all in all it's all fun and I'm not pushing myself.  This is the first back to back 10 mile days I've ran.

 Splits: 8:16, 8:10, 7:40, 7:20,  6:45 (downhill),  7:02,  7:32,  7:37, 7:29, 7:22.

Ran 9.11 miles of the Just Cuz half marathon course. It went well.. my quads were a little sore from the last 11 and 10 mile days. My Daughter also ran 7 miles of the course.

We started at 6:15am above Mink Creek Rd. I stayed with my daughter for a little over a mile then we separated after that. She slowed down. My wife followed us all the way down, because there's no way I would let my daughter be alone up there and that early in the morning. I had some good stretches in the course and it was good to expose my titainium rod leg on some downhill :-)

6 miles but on the fourth mile going down hill I started limping in pain on my foot.  I felt some soreness below the ankle on the foot that was coming on.  I figured I would cut-back to only 6 miles today.  Well I went 2 miles too many.  The downhill just made me want to scream in pain.  Half Marathon might be out on November 5th.

6.1 miles on the Arc Trainer did the hill interval workout.  I did one hour on that wonderful machine that I love so much.  I watched a replay of the 1976 playoff game between the Yankees and Royals.  Wasn't too bad on the ankle.  I will do the same tomorrow.  It was a little sore after walking around watching my daughter in her XC city meet where she finished 8th.

Went to Gold's Gym with Barry and did the Arc trainer for 6.6 miles in 1:05:05 on the hill interval workout.  We are both having sympathy pains for eachother we are both injured.  My ankle was really sore after the workout today.

Ran on Arc Trainer again.  I did the Arc Trainer by myself for 30 minutes while Barry was getting the Clinic blood work that Gold's Gym was sponsoring this morning.  I finished at 7.2 miles in 1:10.

Ran outside with Barry for the first time in 8 days because of the sore Ankle tendon or whatever it is.  I think it's conpensation from the other leg.   3.12 miles in 25:55 minutes.

Did 1:10 of lap swimming at Golds Gym.  Swimming is very relaxing and I think it helps the healing process as well.

8.32 miles ran 3 of the miles with Dallyce. Ran at a 7:42 pace overall in 1:04. Did the rest just running up behind Hiline Rd. Then turned on Jefferson rd. then Randolph St.  then back on Yellowstone St.. Split: 8:52, 8:40, 7:58, 7:36, 7:31, 7:19, 7:23, 6:30

Ran Pocatello Creek Dr. by myself.  My wife dropped me off at the top of the Pocatello Marathon course.  I did at mile 7 turn up Olympus Rd. to get some uphill.  I was pretty zapped by the last mile.  But it's my fastest run since the recovery of the accident.  I was a good run by myself and I felt good.  9.2 miles at an 6:38 overall pace 1:01.

6:49 (Downhill: Faster than I wanted to)

6:15 (Downhill: again faster than I wanted to.  It's been so long since I've paced myself to stay consistent)

6:28 (Flat and Downhill: This is the pace I wanted for the whole run)

6:15 (Ok little faster but it felt comfortable)

6:27 (Flat and Downhill: Felt good and comfortable again trying to stay in a consistent balance)

6:19 (flat part:  feeling good)

6:46 (flat  part:  just relaxing)

6:51,(Uphill and downhill, flat all in one for this split.  I think the uphill did fatigue me as I tried pushing)

7:14 (cool down, but I was pretty tired)

Kind of a sore hip and foot after Saturday's downhill run.  My titanium rod insertion point is sore/hurts.  I really hate the way my running ability was taken away.  Emotionally at times it's hard, but by the Grace of God I'm alive.

Did 3.53 miles in 7:47 pace.  Took my daughter to the Drivers License Bureau and she passed her test and now is an official driver.
