I ran in 80 degrees weather the heat of the day.  I lost four pounds of dripping sweat.  I ran the last 4 miles faster (6:35, 6:33,6:41,6:38).  I had to work from 9am to 6pm then go back in from 11pm to 3:30am to do system maintenance.  I was then awake by 9:31 because of a call from work with a problem I had to deal with.

Ran the Pocatello Marathon course today with Barry today.  We started at 5:50am and the temperature was around 60 degrees.  I left Barry around mile 6 and started running faster.  I had to code brown around mile 10.  I mix too much stuff in my pancakes last night for dinner and I think that caused the issues.  Rolling hills portion of the course (second half) I picked up the pace for a good training run.  Need to get my feet use to that section again.  I like the second half of the course, because everyone else hates it.

Barry ran 18 miles and did awesome.  He'll be ready for a marathon if he keeps the consistent training.

I ran 22. 21 miles at a 6:42 pace in 2:29.

Now off to Salt Lake City to pickup a trailer we purchased.  It's a Keystone Sprindale 2007  23ft.  Only been used once.

Very tired this morning from driver to Salt Lake City last night picking up our new RV trailer and then driving back.

Ran 11.34 miles at an overall 7:05 pace in 1:20 at around 9am when I got up.  It was warmer than what I normally run in the morning so I took some Power Zero and held it in my hand.

Getting the trailer and generator and changing a raidator hose in my car is what I did the rest of the day.  Very Very Busy.

Ran 4.21 at a 7:33 pace in 31.50 minutes with the dog  today.  I got up late because of all the activities yesterday wore me out.  I didn't want to run much and I will not run tomorrow to take a well deserved day-off.

Have to get the trailer ready to go camping tomorrow after Church.

Today was my birthday and I spent it up at Pebble Creek Camping.  I decided to torture my body and run the Big Spring trail road and Boundry Trail road.  It was fun and hard after the two days off from running.

I ran 9.2 miles at an overall 7:18 pace in 1:07.  Spent the rest of the day on my ATV and playing with the features on the new RV Trailer.

Same run as yesterday up at Pebble Creek.  I added an extra mile.  Good to get the uphill and downhill training.  Nothing fast just wanted to enjoy the run.  Heck! I'm on vacation and don't need to train.

Evening:

Walked several miles on trails and went and walked on a trail that display a blue water dam.  I will count 1 mile as running.  Did more riding on the ATV.

I didn't want to do any more uphill at Pebble Creek for our last camping day just to be cautious from getting injured.  I had my wife pick me up at the bottom after running all the way to the highway from the top of  Pebble Creek's Big Springs Campground.

Ran 15.2 miles at an overall 7:09 pace in 1:48.  It was a good run.  I have to work tonight at llpm till early in the morning so I wanted a longer run today.  I did my Satterfield Hill loop.  I see Bill Mandler and spoke with him as I was running.  I wanted to stop and talk but I needed to be back to get ready for work.  Very warm morning and sunny.

Evening

Ran about a mile tonight just to get some exercise before heading to work at 11pm.

Worked till 3am this morning and slept till almost 10am and then got up and ran 17.3 miles at an overall 7:06 pace in 2:02.  I mixed in fast miles with slow miles but nothing extremely fast.  I was still real tired from the workload and not enough sleep.  It was hot at already 70 degrees when I started at almost 11am.  I really kept it nice and easy and was really only planning on doing 11 miles but sometimes with the available time and not having to work today I stretched it out.

Evening:

Ran  tonight for the newspaper to celebrate the 10th year of the Pocatello Marathon.  I really didn't want the exposure but the editor and photographer begged me to do it.  That it was a big deal to have me in the story since it's the 10th year of the marathon.  I mentioned they should have Bill Mandler do it, because he's ran the marathon more than me.  I did wear my St. George/Fast running blog singlet for the photo's to get the exposure.

I really didn't want any interviews this year.  I wanted to stay low key because I might not even run the race and go camping instead.  But most likely now I will run it.  I just want to Praise God in my running.

This morning I ran the Pocatello marathon course with Bill and Barry.  It was nice and cool on the backside of Buckskin around 50 degrees.  Barry's leg was bothering him early in the run so Bill and I ran ahead.  We ran 21.17 miles at a 7:15 pace in 2:34.  It was great running with Bill and had a nice conversation the whole way.  We really didn't care about the pace, and ran the whole distance together.  We were just out there to enjoy a long run.  Thanks Bill for the fun conversation and run.  Barry's leg uneventually got better and he finished running 18 miles.

Evening:

Ran a couple strides tonight to loosen the legs up (.2).

Did the Satterfield Hill loop going up and back down each right side street once I reached Satterfield.  I picked the pace up at mile 6 and did some faster miles.

6:45  Easy (Just running not part of a tempo or anything)

6:43 Easy (only so much you can say.  Pretty much same as last mile)

6:55 Easy (Mile before going down.  I'm very informative this morning).

5:30 (downhill)  Didn't feel hard and I ran how the legs felt.  I really focused on turn over rate.  The first half I actually took easy, because I could have cranked the gas pedal.

5:48 (mostly flat with a slight downhill).  Not too difficult.  Again just trying to feel a good comfortable pace.

5:57 (flat)  I slowed down then decided to run faster on the last mile.  Who needs a cool-down mile right!

Gorgeous, Gorgeous morning.  The sun was shiny but at 53 degrees it didn't feel bad.  This morning  I couldn't stand my own sweat for some reason.  I thought maybe I wore the same shirt twice by accident, but that wasn't the case. Maybe my smell sensors are  trying to tell me that it's tired of sweating all the time :-) .

Were planning on going camping Friday night up Mink Creek and enjoying  being out of town.  It's a campground only 10 miles outside Pocatello so I guess were technically in-town up in the hermitville area.

I ran on Hiline Rd (their doing construction here making it a four way lane and it looks real nice)  and turned on Chubbuck Rd. and then  on Bench Rd.  Then I headed back down Olympus Rd. and home.  Totals 11.11 miles in 7:10 in 1:19  did the last few faster (6:48, 6:25, 6:37)

Tired, not motivated, grumpy, didn't want to run, wanted my bed etc. Son kept us up with a cough and a nightmare last night so not much sleep.

I got my unmotivated body out of bed and ran the Satterfield loop at a not to bad pace even though I started the first few miles slow. I ran 12.15 miles at an 7:12 pace in 1:30. I ran two miles in the 6:2ish range. I wanted an easy run today, because I've push the last few runs lately so a good aerobic run was the strategy today. I need to get interested again in running and not be so unmotivated.

I ran 13.32 miles at an overall 7:14 pace in 1:36 on a very nice cool morning. I was still tired from the long night at work, and only sleeping 3 hours yesterday. Training has been tough this year with the extra responsibility at work and some of the late night work hours that thoughts of upcoming marathons are not even a focus.

My wife is at camp with the daycare and it's just my son and I tonight. I'm going to take him to McDonalds and let him play on the toys.
