Warm morning run with Barry.  We headed up to Satterfield and turned on Booth Rd.  Then down Oak and to ISU and back to my house.   I took a 8 oz water and drink every 2 miles. Used my new Avia Lites II to run in.  Hip sore today.

Ran down Pebble Creek Big Springs  area about three miles than I turned off on to some nice trails (yes I exactly ran some trails.  I did some nice uphill climbs that were fun and beautiful.   I can see how people can get addicted to trail running.  I took it easy after running hard yesterday, and a late night softball game traveling back into Pocatello just to play the game.  12.13 miles at an overall 7:36 pace in 1:32:08

Ran from top of Pebble Creek/ Big Springs to the bottom towards Lava Hot Springs going 7.18 miles on the road then turned back to Pebble Creek running 7:18 miles back to the Pebble Creek/ Big Spring sportsmen's entrance where my wife picked me up with the ATV.  First time I ran on a road for 5 days.  Not a bad long run 21.3  miles at an overall 7:07 pace in 2:31:36.   The 7 miles going back to the Pebble Sportsmens access entrance was very windy, but I managed to do ok.  I took a gel at mile 12 and yogot bites (strawberry) at mile 18.  I didn't eat anything before the run, but did drink PowerZero 10 minutes before.

My recovery drink or food I've been using is Muscle Milk, has anyone else tried it?   Ryan Hall uses it has his primary recovery drink. I've used it the last two weeks and I really like it.

Ran by myself down Hawthorne Rd. out to Chubbuck around OK ward park then down Yellowstone in Chubbuck and behind Lowes.  Then I headed home going down Poleline Which I did a faster mile at the end.  Nothing realy exciting and my bod/mind/soul was tired.

I've been experiencing a rib injury since I slide into second base last week where the pain is bad.  I've tried everything to get it better but its worse under the armpit.  I think it could be a fraction but not sure.  I'm going to the doctor if its not better.

12.31 miles 7:31 pace 1:32:25.

Tempo run and then a cold down out to Ross park and back to my house.  My chest/rib was hurting bad.   I coughed once during the run and the rib hurt so bad I wanted to cry.  It would hurt even talking to Barry.  I think I'm going to try K-tape on the rib to see if that will help.

Did 5 miles of the run with Barry.   Tempo I averaged around 6:20 all I could muster with the rib pain.  One injury after another but God is still on the throne and he's my father and that's all the matters.

17.31 miles at an overall 7:32 pace.
