I wanted to run outside this morning because it was a warm 21 degrees, but my computer connection to my service was having problems, and I troubleshooted that for too long so I ran on the Home Treadmill.  10.5 miles in 1:08.

Day-off.  I couldn't run anyway.  It seems from my first prognosis I have the same injury on my right foot as I did on my left foot during the Christmas time.  Its right above the heel on both sides. When I was running on the home treadmill Sunday on the last mile I started to limp because of the pain.  I'm thinking it might have been do to my shoes I wore on my long run being too wore out.  Who knows.

Lunch

200 sit-ups and 100 push-ups and air bridges.  My right foot still hurts.  I really don't know what to do for tomorrow if I should go to the gym and use the eplitical or try to run.  Or maybe swim for an hour.

I tried to run today after my morning devotion with my wife and it wasn't pretty.  I started and after ten steps my right heel started hurting and I was limping again so I turned around only after running 100 meters.  Then my wife ahead to work and saw me so she stopped and drove me home the rest of the way. I  ran 500 miles (no I wish).  I ran .24  only 1/4 of a mile for those of you who like math :-).  Oh well my attitude is fine.  I can always quit running and eat and get fat.  :-). After getting home I did around 100 push-ups and 300 sit-ups.   Would swimming be the best exercise right now to burn calories and keep the aerobic fitness going?

My plan is to cross train until Friday and then maybe try to run 16 miles with Barry (on the blog).  There's a definite pain there with the same symptoms as I had on the other foot.   I was starting to get back in the mindset of increasing my mileage back up  to 80 to 100 miles per week and this happens.   Maybe the Lord doesn't want me to race anymore, or he's telling me something.

I had to work to 2am last night to test our database fail-over.  We didn't quite get it working last week.  This week was better.  This Tuesday night maintenance maybe a standard for a while.  Running for me right now is not that important.

I did the Arc Trainer this morning for 7.3 miles in over a hour something.  I put the resistance at 7-9 and did hill intervals.  I put the hill portion at 19% incline then it would drop to 10%.  It was a good workout, but running is still more of  a workout to me.  My calves really did feel the workout though.

I'm not  going to do anything tomorrow to see if maybe I can run 16 miles Friday with Barry (on the blog).  I'm  trying to also schedule a acupuncture appointment which helped on my other foot.  After the gym today the foot did hurt so I might have over did it today for this type of workout.  Good attitude though, because I know that God is really the only important thing that matters and he can heal me in his timing.

I stayed off my legs this morning and rode on a stationery bike at Gold's Gym for 45 minutes and did a few sit-ups.  I'll count this as 3 miles.   My right foot still hurt this morning.  Hopefully, I'll be able to run with Barry tomorrow.

Lunch:

Lots of sit-ups and push-up.  Trying to supplement this for my running.

Got up at 4am to test to see if I could run 16 miles with Bill and Barry this morning.  I ran two painful miles on my right foot near the heel, by the heel, below the heel whatever.  Anyway my legs wanted to take off but can't do much when your hurting.  I did 2.12 miles at a 7:23 pace in 15:41.   I could have probably done 16 miles and sacrificed probably not running the rest of the year.  I did like that idea.  I've ran with pain several times and it's no fun.

My plan is get an acupuncture at 3:30am today.  Then take three day-off and just do cross-training on the sitdown bike, because it has less pressure than the elipitical and arc trainer.  Oh well I tried.  I guess I'll go back to bed for a while.  God does now what he's doing in my life and he'll heal me when its his time.  You have to have a good attitude and faith.  I'm going to have some good races this year because I'm allowing God to direct my steps not me.

Later in the morning:

After I slept till almost 7am and after the devotion I decided to hop on the home treadmill just to see if my foot hurt worse on the road or on the treadmill.  It didn't matter, but it did feel like it hurt worse on the Treadmill.  At one point I cracked it up to 5:30 pace for one minute and the pain didn't feel as bad at that speed.  Anyway I did another 2.23 miles  over 16 minutes.

Did 9.2 miles on Bike at 17 to 21 percent resistance.  Very tough miles on a hilly program.  A lot harder than running.  I'm going to count 4 as running miles.  My heel is still hurting.  Taking more time off will be the best thing right now.
