There wasn't a choice for Olympic Gold in the goal section so that's why I put "other"

Nerves usually get the best of me in races, today was just worse. I know I could have pr'ed so that just made me more nervous. I need to figure that out. Any suggestions on what to think about, or not in the 30 minutes leading up to the race?

For my heat everyone put 5 flat for their seed time, so we were lined up in alphabetical order, which stunk. I was in the 4th row. Everyone started out crazy fast, and soon I was in dead last. I came in the 400 at 75 so right on pace. Not sure what really happened the next few laps tbh. Passed a few people on the last lap. Not the race I was hoping for. I just need to figure out what to do mentally before races. I still believe I can break 4:40 this year, with the aid of some speed workouts coming up, but mostly where I need to improve is in my head.
