I hiked up Timp yesterday because I did not have to go to work.  I was a little nervous because I was hiking by myself.  On the way I up I passed nine groups.  ( I counted)  It took me two and a half hours to make it to the top.  Once I was on the top I took a twenty minute break to eat lunch.  I decided I would jog down the mountain, it took me a total of an hour and forty minutes.   Total time for the hike was four and a half hours.

I tripped 3 times coming down the mountain.  I was happy no one was around when I completed biffed it on my face.  I think that I need a little more trail practice before I go into trail running.   I could be a possible disaster.

I loved this hike!  I want to do it again faster next week.  I wore my SGM shirt from a few years ago, and people were making all sorts of comments about the marathon as I hiked.  I thought it was fun as I passed groups on the way up and on the way back down, before they would make it to the top.

Jealous. So love that trail. Its been years. Haven't found anyone who wants to power it up there. I should like to join you someday. I too would be a disaster. I have tendency to fall on the downhill. I still have a small scar on my knee from my fall on that hike in 1996. The last time I climbed it was 1997. Not good. I stare at that mountain daily. Must run trails. So good for the soul.

nice hiking/trail running. i bet it is just beautiful up there right now. i am super clumsy on the trails, so only 3 falls is awesome. great recovery this week!

Nice job on Timp. I love that hike. usually weekdays are not very crowded this time of the year. Timpanooke is also a really good alternative to the Aspen Grove route if you haven't tried that one.
