WooHoo! Enjoy and GOOD LUCK!

Did you know Boston filled up last week? The announcement was dated Fri. I saw that on Sat. and thought it was a Friday the 13th joke. But no joke! I feel bad for those running CIM for a BQ hoping to get in 2010. Gary didn't get in...he was going to run London and didn't make the lottery. Bummer!

Thanks Jeff and Smooth.

Smooth,

I was reading your blog about Boston. Yes, that is a bummer for all of those that wanted to go.

Good luck down there at Mesquite. Looks like a fast course for the first half. 2nd half looks a bit tougher. I can't wait to read the report.:)

Julie,

You are brave for getting out in the cold. Tis the season for bundled running...BRRRRR.

RAD,

I wish you were coming with all of my heart. I will taper for the both of us :)

Huans,

Thank you for the "good luck." Yes, the course looks rather difficult to me. I think a lot of us are heading into this race BLIND. I'm excited for my adventure this weekend.

From JulieC on Tue, Nov 17, 2009 at 23:55:16 from 67.42.127.81

this is probably broken record thoughts for you but I would just be careful the first 6 miles. Remember Allie came in from behind at Deseret News when everyone else burned it up at the first 6 miles. Pull back on those reins then start reeling them in!! YOU GO GIRL!!!

From Bec on Wed, Nov 18, 2009 at 17:55:20 from 67.177.35.60

Thank you so much for that reminder Julie. In my mind I am trying to liken the course to Des News. I don't know if it's anything like that, but I am planing on a "Des News" type run.

From allie on Wed, Nov 18, 2009 at 19:02:49 from 67.177.43.41

reading the course description on the discussion forum leads me to believe it is very, very similar to the desnews course. conserve, conserve, conserve on the fast downhill in the first few miles. you'll be fine. you are a smart and a strong runner. have fun.

From Bec on Wed, Nov 18, 2009 at 23:23:16 from 67.177.35.60

Thanks Allie. I will be taking your advice. This race is all about fun for me. I do want to finish strong so I have to REMEMBER to CONSERVE.
