Met with the BBK's today!  What an amazing group of runners, I was impressed with their running abilities, commitment, and encouragement.  I want to meet, and run with them again for sure!

So we started with warm-up miles.  Did 2.5 of those, and then we headed up a HUGE mountain.  Suncrest has a grade of 10% and I ran up it!  I was at a point where I actually wanted to turn around, but I didn't!  I was so happy to get to the top of that beast!  I celebrated even more when I found a drinking fountain at the top. Coming down was really fun, and hard on my legs, it reminded me of the start of the DesNews Marathon.  I was hitting 6:30 minute miles on the way down.YEE HAW!!!  (The yee-haw was for RAD).

So fun meeting BBK ladies, Mark, and Jameson, you are HARD CORE! :)

I went to an hour spinning class after that, made my legs feel a little better.

It was fun to meet you this morning. You're welcome to come to our runs anytime. They're not all that beastly!

Aw, Peggy, thanks for letting me join the group today. It was fun (now that it's over with).

6:30!!! Yahoo!!! VERY IMPRESSIVE run conquering the beast. In your opinion, which side is harder, the Lehi or the Draper side? I do NOT like DNews running down Big Mountain the first 5 miles. I remember feeling like I was a baby panguine in an elephant stampede. Very scary!

I was thinking about you and the BBK this morning when I was running. I'm glad you had a GREAT time running with the BBKs. I'm so NOT in their league. GOOD JOB!!!

Smooth!!!! The down low on Suncrest...We have the long side, which I have never made to the top running. It's a lot longer than the Draper side. Then we have the Draper side with a steeper climb. Both sides are brutal! I need to give it another try soon, such good training.

I agree with the first 5 miles of DNews, way too steep! It does kind of remind me of an elephant stampede too. Pretty much trashes your legs for the upcoming miles.

Yes you can run with the BBKs. Yes, they are fast, but you are fast too. They were really motivating for me today.

Sounds like Lehi side is more gradual climb then. I've got to run it again to train for Park City.

I am NOT fast like the BBKs. They will kick my patootie, for sure!
